  1. (Closed temporarily) Sporterized Argentine 1891 Mauser with 20rds of ammo and 2 stripper clips - $250 or trade (see below) Picked this up many years ago in college, always wanted a Mauser and there she was. I’ve put maybe 100 rds through the barrel. This was sporterized many decades ago. I believe there was a company that imported them and made the following modifications: -Front and rear sight replaced -Rubber buttpad added -Bolt turned down -Original walnut stock was cut back to give it a carbine look. That means the stock has also probably been refinished at some point. Condition: -All numbers matching that I could find (including the stock) -Some very light pitting and missing bluing. Most of the gun has an attractive blue/bronze patina. -Excellent bore with strong rifling (forgot to take a pic, available on request) -2 cracks in the stock. They’ve not changed in size since I owned it. Some features: -Square cut thumb safety with good texture -Liquid smooth mauser action -5rd magazine fed by stripper clips Historically, a significant rifle. One of the first to use stripper clips, and Mauser used many features developed for this rifle in the 98k and beyond. This particular example has Argentine inspection markings. It will come with 20rds of 7.65x53 PPU softpoint ammo. I find it has a good weight and balance, and includes sling points on the stock - many people have used these as deer rifles over the decades. I just don’t have space for it and would like to pick up a Garand. I will consider trades for milsurp, plinkers, and functioning old guns. Can trade up or down for cash. Meet in Davidson County, or nearby counties for established members. Must be 18 years old, a Tennessee resident, and legally able to own a firearm. I will ask to see a drivers license or carry permit. Thanks for looking, and feel free to message me with questions.
  2. Price drop, $360 plus ammo
  3. Maybe a little hot-headed, sorry guys and yes even WillyA. Important to remember than even pawn shops would give you more than $600 for a brand new M70. If you can’t beat a pawn shop, why would someone accept your offer? Speaking of, these guns are truly amazing. There aren’t a lot of military grade AKs on the market. GLWS!
  4. Looking for any guns from South Africa or Rhodesia (Now Zimbabwe), including parts kits or builds. I’d also consider surplus kit or ammo from that region. Pretoria Arms (PAF), Vektor, FALs and Galils that served in the region, etc. Also Webleys, Enfields, or other early British arms that were used by SA forces (if South African marked). Would offer cash or trade, depending. I have a lot of ammo. I’m South African and would like to build a collection of firearms from my country. I also have family who served in WW1 and 2, primarily North Africa and Italy, and some were killed in action. I know this is a long shot, but it never hurts to ask. I would also appreciate any local leads you may find. Thanks!
  5. If you’re gonna insult someone with a lowball, at least do it by PM
  6. Price drop, $380 OBO +50rds ammo for asking price
  7. Well that’s pretty cool. Invented by the Swedes, and then only 70K built before Egypt swapped to the Maadi AK. 50 years old and already a collector’s piece! Wish I had a larger safe. As you know, the hard part isn’t buying them, it’s making space for more! GLWS.
  8. I’ll take it. Pm sent Edit: made a mistake, did not take it
  9. For the asking price, I will also include this Zastava side mount, which gives you a zero-holding universal pic rail for any optic you want. I will also offer some additional items at-cost (or work out a package deal). This is a courtesy to serious buyers who want to kickstart their build, I will not sell to anyone but the buyer. -Bulgarian 30rd steel mags - $15 each -Polymer 30rd mags - $10 each -Romanian 75rd drum with 75rds Wolf 7.62x39 (new, unfired, still in oil) - $110 -Russian Tula 30rd Bakelite magazine - $110 -Epsilon VG6 brake (loud, eats recoil) - $50
  10. I remembered seeing this a few days ago… https://www.armslist.com/posts/15366781/nashville-tennessee-handguns-for-sale--bersa-thunder-380-s-a-pistol
  11. Free bump for trusted member. Rifles I purchased from them were well-maintained and are my current favorites. Deal with confidence
  12. I bought the Draco because I couldn’t afford this one! +1 for nice guy and trusted member.
  13. Bump for trades. Also looking for milsurp, AK parts/furniture, 308, 7.62x39, 9mm, 32ACP, subsonic 22
  14. Well if I get to it before you, I’ll let you know how it goes!
  15. @1gewehr Oh wow, two of us! That’s cool. Yes, I am happy to have an original stock, even non-matching. Somebody filed the serial number off the inside of the stock, but the missed the serial number on the metal slide that locks into the grip! Some people will do anything to a gun to make a buck. The stock is functional but I was planning to use it with a mauser reproduction stock to protect the original. Sad to hear it won’t fit. Perhaps I can get it to work with some hand fitting and a dremel? Appreciate the ammo advice. I do have some PPU mauser on the way. I really like PPU, it is usually well specced for these older european guns.
  16. *sigh* *opens wallet* PM incoming
  17. That is something I had never considered - the implication of Bruin on SBR regulations. I’m not remotely close to a gun control expert but there probably weren’t any barrel length and stock restrictions in Ben Franklin’s day. On the flipside, there probably aren’t a lot of people who want to challenge SBR laws because of the optics. Personally, while I am no fan of the Bruin decision, I think SBR laws are dumb. This pistol is pretty heavy and hard to hold steady. Mount the stock and suddenly your grip becomes rock solid, the weapon pulls in nice and tight, and your eye aligns naturally over the sights with a firm cheekweld. The stock makes any average shooter into a capable fighter. I can envision many many situations, hunting or defense, where the addition of the stock on a compact gun makes the difference between hitting and missing your target in a stressful situation. Just my 2c. Re: the Astra, I also didn’t know these existed until I saw them on Gunbroker. There are a few more clones out there, I think Star and Royal also made some. These Astras are known for having many improvements over the Mauser, particularly the takedown is very fast and easy. The left side lifts off to reveal the interior, which came from the factory jeweled (mine has faded but the jeweling can be seen on Forgotten Weapons’ video on this model). The bore is near perfect. As soon as ammo arrive I intend to take it to the range. I also want to do some accuracy comparisons between stocked vs unstocked. I’ll try share the results.
  18. Thought y’all might appreciate this C96 clone, the Astra 900. Only 35K were made, mostly for China. This one has an original but non-matching stock. This is also one of those few models models that is both a curio/relic and exempt from SBR regulation. So because I have a C&R FFL, I got to experience the joy of having this little short-barrel delivered right to my home!
  19. Wow, can’t believe I missed this topic till now! I’m a huge fan of pocket pistols. I started with modern guns but am very slowly expanding into older guns. Most of my older guns are mid or full size. I really like Berettas. I have a Tomcat 3032 with an optics cut which is quite fun. I picked up an 84BB in 380 for cheap and liked it so much I got its little brother, the 81BB in 32. But again, they are not quite pocket sized. Next on my list is a Beretta Model 20 in 25acp. They only made it for 3 years in the 80s.
  20. **pending sale** I have a Gen 1 Taurus TX22. Would prefer trade but sale considered. -FDE -Manual Safety -2 16rd magazines, mag loader, lock -Purchased from Nashville Armory (now Modern Warriors) circa 2022-3. First owner. -About 300 rounds down the barrel. 100% reliable with 5 brands of ammo. Yes, the legend is true - the TX22 is the king of 22 pistols and very reliable. I’m only selling to buy the Competition version. Asking price: $300 OBO My asking price is high because I would rather trade. If I receive no trade offers after one week, I’ll sell to the highest offer or drop the price. I can add cash for trades. Trade interests: -22s with threaded barrels -Ruger 10/22 or similar rimfire rifle -DA/SA pistols -9mm 1911 -Semi-auto rifles -Weird, old, and foreign guns Meet within Davidson County in a public place. You must be a TN resident, 21 years old, legally able to own a firearm, and I will need a record of the sale. Thanks, have a good one, and let me know what’s sitting at the back of your safe.
  21. FYI this ad got posted twice. Nice piece, GLWS
