  1. Noah? Is that you?
  2. Why in the world do you want a soft holster?
  3. Good show in my opinion.
  4. WARNING!!! This is how it starts. Soon, you'll be spending all of yoyr free time making holsters and trying to get caught up. The people at the leather store will have your name and phone number memorized. It's all right, however, because you've found a way to use a gun purchase as a tax right off, and will find yourself with extra fun money.
  5. YOu can also hide the weights by drilling holes in the underside of the body, and filling them with lead pistol bullets. Spread filler over them, sand, ant they're gone. The best place I found for the is in front of the rear axles. My youngest boy wasn't old enough to be in cub scouts the last time my oldest competed. He still wanted to build a car. They let him race it in the adults unlimited division. He ended up taking second place. There were several visibly upset grown men there that day.
  6. :DSounds like they're lucky to have you around.
  7. I call them my neighbors.
  8. Red 67610 Rebel 8x32 Roof Prism Bino BLK WHS:10 I boought my son a pair of these, and for the price, I've been very impressed with them.
  9. No BS from me! I'd be very proud of that.
  10. Looks great to me. How does it carry? Surely you're wearing it.
  11. I'm 0-2 fighting bogus tickets. I'd suggest paying it. I lose my cool every time I go into a courtroom.
  12. :eek:That;s gotta be a record!!!
  13. +1 for Tandy. There's one on Nolensville Road. The people in there are more than willing to educate you, answer any questions, and are well educated in leatherworking.
  14. Just out of curiosity, in what town in Middle Tennessee do you reside?
  15. But if the OP paid the advertised $258 for this, I guess he knows something we don't.
  16. A friend of mine made this the other day. He isn't too far from here. Believe it or not, there are local people around that are as skillful as anyone else.
  17. Those are amazing guns! Most people, and the majority of gun people will look at you like you're an alien if you mention a 38 Special semiauto pistol.
  18. I enjoy shooting pool/billiards. I don't get to do it much anymore. In my misspent youth, we spent a sizeable portion of schooltime at the local poolhall. My favorite was snooker.
  19. I'm not interested in making it, I was just taken aback at the slam of local craftsmen.
  20. I have one in 44 mag, and it will have a 357 companion if I ever find one at a sane price. I have nothing but good to say about them. I've shot everything from natfart target loads to full house magnums in it, and it is a tack driver with them all. Good luck in your search, as they're hard to come by. Don't overlook the Winchester 94 in 357. A fellow forum member here has one, and it is awesome as well. Other suggestions would be one of the 92 Winchester clones such as the Rossi, Puma, or even a Browning. I think Winchester might have made a few 92s in 357 a few years back too, but I'm not sure.
  21. :DEverybody knows you have to buy from China to get the really goos stuff.
  22. If you hire someone to do it, make certain they know what they are doing. If you do it yourself, all you are wanting to do is to get rid of burrs and smooth machining marks a bit. I understand that parts like the trigger, hammer, etc. are surface hardened, and if you stone through that, you are left with a soft surface that will wear quickly, and soon become unserviceable. Also, make certain to not change the angles on any of the contact surfaces. Taks your time with a quality fine grit stone and give it a shot. There's really not much to it. If you look in the gunsmithing section here: S&W-Smithing, you'll find more information than you'd ever want to know, from some of the most knowledgeable S&W nuts in the world. Click on th FAQ at the top of the page, and you'll learn everything you need to know.
  23. YOu won't save money....you WILL get to shoot more. Reloading is a money pit just like racing, golf, fishing, etc. If you enjoy it, it's worthwhile. You'll likely learn more about guns, ballastics, math, and become a more proficient shooter as a result of reloading, but you won't save money.
  24. It isn't easy to watch someone you care for destroy themselves with drugs. I've been there. It makes you think that anything that might have a remote chance of helping is worth a shot. This is where otherwise intelligent people leave the confines of rational thinking and agree to irrational actions.
  25. You almost need a tool to work this one.
