I worked with a big guy. For some reason, he would up with a Sportster. I don’t think he’d ever had a motorcycle before. He looked like a circus bear riding a child’s bicycle.

Most professions aren’t directly screwing with your health and well being.

My Dr. has the personality of a tree stump and wants to see how many pills he can prescribe. I'd swap, but I have no idea who else would be better.

Medical doctors and surgeons as well. I know there are good ones, but I'm not sure how to decipher which one is which.

I don't know squat about them either, but I've always wanted to ride one.

Anybody in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon forge/Sevierville area?

Very cool! Many thanks for the suggestion, Erik! A lady at the info center in Sweetwater told us about a place right off I-40 near Monterey called Bee Rock. I'd never heard of it. It was pretty cool. Nothing to do there entertaining, but a beautiful view. If you're ever coming through there and can spare about 30 minutes, check it out! -
Don’t be. I just call balls and strikes. You’ll have to admit, among your colleagues, financial gain is often more important than patient well being.

LOL! Rain gear in hot weather is pointless. You can either get wet, or you can get wet and stink. Your choice.

Sir, I’ve never met you, but judging solely from your posts, I believe you are a good man. Judging from personal experiences, I also believe you are a unicorn in the healthcare industry.

I picked up a windshield for mine the other day. I was sort of worried these bags would be too much weight on the rear, but the wife and I put over 500 miles on it in the last 3 days, and I can't tell the bags are back there. It was her first trip on a bike. Except for not being able to take everything we own, she seemed to enjoy the ride.

I’ve pretty much stopped reading his posts. Nothing personal, I just find it tough to read in that font as well. Wife says I need glasses. As usual, she’s probably right.

Honestly, very few.

…and Buc-ee’s ain’t a gas station. It’s a destination! Wow!!! -
I couldn’t imagine a gun store that didn’t have a shelf full of Anderson lowers laying around.

Na. These were horse and buggy Mennonites. The furniture thing makes sense. Hadn’t thought of that. Heck, I didn’t even know Mexican hot wings were a thing! #nevertoooldtolearn. -

The Skyway would be cool were it not covered in horse turds. What in the world do Mennonites do for a living up in the mountains? -

We went by it, but a country ham plus what my wife requires would be quite a load on a motorcycle. -

You guys who live in East Tennessee probably already know, but the Countryside restaurant in Vonore is both excellent and modestly priced. -
Most certainly. Who’s going to go see a psychiatrist if it means having their home raided and personal property confiscated?

If I ever did need some help, I’d have no idea where to go or who to trust. I damn sure wouldn’t call some .gov funded hotline, or whatever the place is affiliated with our current health insurance. I doubt I’m the only one who feels that way. Not very trusting at all. I wish I had a solution for how to make mental health services more attractive options for those who need them.

Everybody is wrestling with something or another. Many times nobody else knows it.

Now you’re talking! I’ve never been to Ft. Louden. We’ll check that out. Thanks! -

I think we’ll head to Sweetwater and check out the Lost Sea. Never saw it before. We’ll figure out what’s next then. I’m open to suggestions. -

Glad I looked! Damn thing is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Thanks for the advice, everybody! -
Would traffic be as oppressively heavy through there this week during midweek as it usually is in the summer? I’d like to go see the motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley. I wouldn’t be opposed to riding through the park, but if the highway is a parking lot like I’ve been accustomed to, I’ll find a way around. Since it’s early and school isn’t out, I was hoping it would be a little less crowded.
