  1. That's a sweet deal. Have one it's a great little carbine.
  2. Check the intake manifold. I've found that it can warp or bend allowing air in where it shouldn't. Specifically, if its plastic which many are. When you remount the carb look closely at the mating surfaces between the carb and between the block. Motor will fart and even backfire and have less power. Not a great fix but I have used JB Weld to fill the gap. The manifolds are expensive. Good luck!
  3. I get it however most dots can run for an inordinate amount of time on regular lithium batteries. Access to that battery, while maybe inconvenient wouldn’t be my first concern
  4. I've become somewhat of a convert to dots in the last couple of years. I've learned (through spending $$$) that my preference is green, auto brightness, shake awake and multiple reticules. Notably Holosun. I still shoot iron sights however dots do present a completely new discipline to pistol shooting in my opinion. The mounting patterns are challenging. If possible, obtain a dot that is a direct mount (no plate) for your pistol. because they are "buried" in the slide co-witness is more probable. As far as mounting. I learned to place the screws/fasteners in alcohol before I use, to remove any preservative oil on them. Use a small amount of blue loctite and torque to spec. Every fifty rounds or so try to wiggle the dot to ensure no movement. Dots have come a long way and frankly will extend the shooting career for many of us. And JB Weld is always an option.... Happy shooting.
  5. Maybe overlooking it however I don’t see your asking price.
  6. Asking price? Unless I missed it. Nice pistol.
  7. Don't run it through dry either. Put some Hoppes or similar on the snake before pulling through. When clean, put some gun oil on it for the last pull through. This will help preserve the barrel. The reason for going from the chamber end as Redd33 stated is to protect the crown of the barrel. This is true of any firearm. Good luck.
  8. Up for sale my Walther PPK (not PPK /S) .380 ACP in Stainless Steel. I’ve owned it for several years and I’m the second owner. This is a great shooter, or alternatively, a collector’s piece. Manufactured in the 1980’s by Interarms of Alexandria VA, considered the premier USA producer of this particular firearm · Complete with original vinyl case. Has some tearing at the hinge · All original papers including the “proof” target paper · 3 magazines all OEM. 2 with pinky extensions · My estimate of appearance is 95% · Included Galco slide holster. (never used) · Set of aftermarket rosewood grips. I purchased, and immediately concluded that the black plastic originals looked better. But they are yours. I’ve shot this very little during the years I’ve owned it. Excellent pistol with a great history. I’d mention the James Bond thing, however I’m sure I’ll get called out for it since he never actually owned one in .380 ACP. But I threw it in there anyway Asking $750.00 $650.00 Not looking for trades, however, I would consider revolvers in .357 or .44 Mag. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for an established TGO member. TN ID Required. HCP even better. No exceptions. Thanks for looking!
  9. Exactly 100%. We buy/sell/trade firearms. There is no obligation, or should not be, to sell trade or whatever with anyone we are not comfortable with. TN DL is a minimum however if a trader wishes to see my EHCP and sign a bill of sale, I'm perfectly happy to comply. The TGO community, frankly, is self-policing, which is why I like it. My 10 cents
  10. That is one sharp looking revolver GLWS
  11. Welcome! We are Neighbours. Great folks on here, have fun.
  12. Ruger LCP II is worth looking at. Easy to conceal and pleasant to shoot.
  13. Own Glocks. Like and shoot them. But a Glock is a Glock is a Glock. Fully functional, predictable, and reliable. Shot a friend's Echelon and immediately wanted one. Ordered and arriving soon. It's about shooting what we enjoy. That's what makes it fun.
  14. The Wild West is calling. Bump for classic lever action fans who may have missed this.
