I was having a real wrestling match getting the bolt stop pin in and out of my 22/45. I knew that the back end of the receiver had to extend a bit behind the rear of the frame, but just assumed that it was OK from the factory. It wasn't. Watched a video about removing the mag disconnect and watched the guy in the video ensure the receiver was FULLY seated on the frame. He was giving it some pretty energetic whacks on the muzzle with a plastic mallet. So I took the pin and bolt out of mine and tried a few rounds of whacks with a rubber mallet and trying the bolt stop pin without the bold in. Just held the pistol by the grip in my left hand and popped it on the muzzle to drive the receiver further back. After a couple rounds of this, the bolt stop pin/mainspring assembly now pops in and out with no trouble at all. Still need the mallet to get the receiver off and on the frame, but that will loosen up after a few more repeats.

I would hold off on 4G until they get it right. We have two Samsung Charges on our account. My phone is an Incredible (no 4G capability). There have been many times, like about half an hour ago, that the Charges could not get data service, but my DInc could. The perceived difference between 3G and 4G is not that great. Besides, if you suck down so much data that you think you NEED 4G, get ready for the graduated, that is "more expensive" data plans at VZW.

You may not see a problem. TN may not see a problem. If we both lived in the same state there would be no problem, legally. But since we live in different states, the Feds would see a problem. And neither of us wants to jeopardize our carry permits.

So I live in NC and have a handgun that I want to give a relative in TN. I know I can't just give it to him, being an interstate change of ownership and all. So, can I just walk into a gun shop in Tennessee with ID and handgun in hand and relative in tow and transfer the handgun through the FFL holder there?

Boss Lady has an LCP with CT. Got it for deeper conceal than she can get with her SP101. Loves her little pocket popper and says the CT was a good addition since she can be on target while keeping the firearm farther from her face/ears.

Yep. My GP100 and SP101 have that "satin" finish. Not high polish. I use a Scotch Brite and a light touch to get the light scuffs and that cylinder lock line off 'em. I got the GP used and, after a short session with a SB pad, it looked pristine.

Can't wait till the Cruise-Ins start on this side of the hill. Oakboro, about 15 miles from my house, was revived by one of its native sons starting a Cruise-In and Burn-Out the fourth Friday night each month. First Cruise-In, they were expecting about 50 cars. 300 showed up. A couple of years ago, they made a documentary. They counted over 3000 cars for that one! The "event" of each Cruise-In is the Burn-Out. They set up a PA and a water hose in a intersection a block off Main St. Police and Troopers sit in wait of anybody who wants to get stupid. Then the drivers take turns burnin the tires off. Point Google at "Oakboro cruise in" and take the oakborocruisein.blogspot.com link. We take the Boss Lady's '72 Malibu 350 down from time to time...

Yes, they have to start somewhere. But Tommy paid good money for that site and the PR campaign. He should be getting better value for his buck. Having built corporate and commercial web apps for a couple of decades, I could really ramp up a rant about how BA's work is an insult to him, his prospective customers, and everyone else who builds ecommerce sites for a living... C. O. Arms, I would recommend getting ahold of Blue August and asking them to clean up their PR campaign before your online presence loses you a lot of customers. Cases in point: The upper left corner of every web page has a space for your logo. It says "Logo Here". Amateurish. I went to the PR reviews on AmmoLand.com and Tactical-Life.com. Their "reviews" are cut and pasted text from the CO Arms site. Makes a body go "Hmm..." The "real person" responses on both sites are by the same "Joshua". On Tactical-Life he asks where he can find one. His post on AmmoLand, a whole 18 minutes later, sounds like he has owned one for a while. Smells fishy... Click "Joshua"'s name on either site and you are taken to...... Blue August!! An insult to your prospective customers...
