  1. Nice condition gloss Leupold 6x. Great for those classic blued hunting rifles. Clear and crisp. The bells don't have scratches on them, it's just the light reflections. $300. Meet around Chapel Hill/Franklin/Columbia/Murfreesboro.
  2. More Cleanout. Kestrel 4500 NV with Bluetooth. Comes with the Kestrel tripod, wind vane, etc in the carrying case. $250. Meet somewhere around Chapel Hill/Franklin/Columbia/Murfreesboro.
  3. More downsizing. Excellent condition 6" 648-2. I thought I had the box, but apparently not. Ahrends cocobolo grips. You can't get them anymore and they are very expensive to buy them now. Most I see are in the $250 range I am pretty sure I have the original Hogue's here that I will include if I can find them. I won't separate the Ahrends grips from the pistol. $1000. Meet within a reasonable distance (30 min) of Chapel Hill.
  4. That seems like a hell of a deal to me. Just don’t need another.
  5. You see these in Europe quite often still today. Our office still has them. They are considered more environmentally friendly.
  6. The original. I still have my uncles from the 50s or 60s. I used it as a kid as well.
  7. I have the entire set of those around here somewhere.
  8. Having to flip food has as much to do with the basket you use as the type of food. The air has to be able to get to that side of the food to crisp it. Most come with some type of basket/grate for this purpose.
  9. I think the advice above your post is good, don’t get too small. You need to decide if you want to leave it on the counter or if you want to store it. That was the reason I got the one I linked to. Sits on my counter so I am more likely to use it, but folds up out of the way when I don’t. Most of them are going to be decent. Amazon reviews will probably give you the best large review base if you find a style or one you like the looks of.
  10. Air Fryers are just small convection ovens. Doesn't really matter on the format, just that the air is moving. I have one that is more like a toaster oven that folds up so it doesn't take up as much space on the counter when not in use, but is easily accessible. Works well and seems to have a bit more room than some. Got mine at Costco. https://www.costco.com/ninja-foodi-10-in-1-digital-air-fry-oven-pro.product.4000105708.html
  11. They are both 20x Unertl’s. I like them on these old guns. I have a 14x on my 52D but will say I think some of the most fun I have is shooting with the peep sites on my 52C. It’s pretty incredible how little of groups you can shoot with peep sight with appropriately sized inserts for the target.
  12. I have shown these here before, but a pair of consecutive serial number 40XB's. I would have to dig out my 52C and D for pics.
  13. I am so far down the rimfire rabbit hole I won’t get out. But I’m also into uber accuracy. Love old rimfire’s. If you are into rimfires, you need a 40x or 52 to really appreciate them from the old days.
  14. I tell my friends all of the time, If you (or I) can’t tell me (or you) what I (you) don’t want to hear you’re not really my friend. That doesn’t mean they will listen, but you did what you could. The rest is on them.
  15. *could*. They just as easily leave out all of that once it is said and done. Anything even remotely considerable has to use shall or must. Words matter and it’s just a game to appease until it’s not.
  16. I made a vibration trigger that you can have with it. Works fine.
  17. Shocker. Just like we all thought when Mr Luke tried to dupe us all.

    Cool Tool

I have had one for years. They are definitely handy. Amazon is your friend. Obviously you need metric and imperial. Nut & Bolt Thread Checker (Metric) https://a.co/d/8CRH0vm
  19. Understood you have a 52, but I was referring to the Sporter model, not the training model. Something like this. https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/rifles/winchester-rifles-model-52/winchester-52b-sporter-with-special-order-stock-and-finish.cfm?gun_id=102552640 This is a bit high but probably not as much as you would hope.
  20. I would look for something like a CZ 452 American with the 16" threaded barrel. Classic looks, good quality, light, and great feel. Hard to find 452's sometimes, but they may be out there. I use mine to plink off the porch all the time. Or if you have stupid money, a Winchester Model 52C Sporter (original of course :))
