  1. Very nice!!!! Maybe some NILL'S? Elite? Let me know when you want to trade this one away, I'll be first in line!!!!! Long live the P220!!! COOP
  2. The smartest LEO and defensive pistol trainer I know will tell you if he had just 1 pistol to go to battle with it would be a Glock 19!!! I dont own 1 but would like too. I like a middle of the road caliber and have all caliber guns so a .40 cal to me is perfect and a gun that holds 12+1 is a plus so my perfect gun is a Sig P229 elite in .40 cal, it stays with me 24/7.... Dependable, good caliber and round count, great feel and it conceals great.....Oh did I mention I'm very accurate with it!!! IMHO!!!! COOP
  3. While I was at the TGO table picking out a new cap there was this burning smell and I wasn't sure if it was the barbecue or David????? LOL. Maybe barbecued David? IDK???? David, great meeting you and your wife again and lets do this again soon!!!!!! COOP
  4. This was also the first 2nd or none type of event I've been too and enjoyed it, great speakers, great people and great weather!!!! LOL. JK about the weather, the speech by Nikki Goeser has changed the mind of my girl friend who now wants to get her HCP. Thanks to everyone involved for putting on this type of event and hope there's more in the future!!!! COOP
  5. Most popular would be Glocks, investment would be 1911's and German Sig's IMHO!!! COOP
  6. I also will be attending... COOP
  7. Here's the link for the Hogue, Stock Plastic Grips checkered. HogueAuction.com I've read a lot of good things about them on Sig forum's and this will be the first panels I try and for the price you cant go wrong IMHO.... COOP
  8. Thanks for the truth!!!! I just received this email tonight and never heard of it!!! COOP
  9. I have the P6 and a P229R elite, I shot both this weekend and the old P6 is the nicest shooter of all my hand guns, it's like and old friend who you havent seen in a while and when you do there's lots to talk about...BANG BANG BANG!!! LOL It does not have the feed ramp mod and doesnt like JHP's but I've talked to Todd at Customized Creations and it's going to see him soon. My P229 Elite has the same issue with the Houge wrap around grips, there just to thick so maybe some Hogue recheckered factory grips or the G10 when I can afford them, mine is in .40 cal but I want to invest into the .357 sig barrel in a few weeks to try it out and a friend has some rounds left over from being a LEO. Both are great guns enjoy the P6!!!!! COOP
  10. Got this email today and I'm not sure if anybody has posted it yet so here go's!!! COOP Subject: All guns to be listed on (2010) TAX RETURNS Now 'all Guns' must be listed on your next (2010) tax return! Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. | This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT . . this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective ! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of f 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama ? ..... you must be kidding ! | The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage, U.S. Senate <http://www.senate.gov/> You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. | You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.| <Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S. .... OpenCongress <http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text> | Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply. Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Ac t of 2009.| Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usuual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill befre signing and approving it ! To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information. Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: -It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison. If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many opt ions to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pas s this along.| This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.. <Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress) <http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45> : <H.R.45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S. Congress - OpenCongress <http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/show> <H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (GovTrack.us) <http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45> Please.. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA , whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control. We all should have the right to choose.
  11. Walmart in Lebanon has plenty .40 and 9mm, but no .45 and thats what I need!!!!!!! COOP
  12. Definately equal value for the guns your looking at, I personally will not sell anymore of my Sigs!!! The 226 is a great gun, however a Glock G19 is on my to buy list along with a P238. IMO, keep your Sig and save your pennies to buy the glock!!! COOP
  13. Dustin, where are the pictures? I guess you've been busy chasing bad guys!!!! LOL It's all good!!!! COOP
  14. I sent you a PM with a link to a few Swiss police trade in P238's left over so if you want one I would jump on this first thing this morning, after you decide what your wanting I'll make it public so if any TGO members want to buy one of the best 9mm's ever built they can pick one up!!!! COOP
  15. Another great class with CIS, this was my second pistol class with CIS (advanced carry and defensive pistol) and if they had more pistol classes I'd take them too, I would like to thank Todd (the better looking one) and Dustin for having this class with only 5 students, I think most trainers would have cancelled and it go's to show that these guys are not in it for the money but are serious about training people. Todd and Dustin give a really thorough explanation and demonstration of every drill. Being a new shooter I was a little hesitant due to my skills or lack of but all shooters regardless of your skill CAN and SHOULD take this class IMHO!!!!! Todd and Dustin, thanks again and hope to see you both soon!!!! COOP
  16. I ordered one last night to try out on my AR, thought I'd try this before i drop $400+ on a Eotech!!!!! COOP
  17. Sureshot, I doubt if I'll ever sell my P228, just under a thousand rounds this weekend and no problems (unlike some other guns that had problems and one rhimes with CLOCK), I did tear up the tips of a couple of my fingers with my new target sights so those are coming off and mounting some XS big dot night sights on instead. The AR go's to the gunsmith tomorrow to be checked out because I'm still having problems!!! COOP
  18. Todd, I have a question for you, Which rebel officer told Leia he had "feared the worst" when he heard about Alderaan? And you cant Google it..... COOP
  19. Does anybody know if this red dot comes with the mount? COOP
  20. Anybody know of any sights that have cheap police trade in Glock 19's??? I thought I seen a thread last week about them but for the life of me I cant find it. I might be looking into going to the darkside and try a G19 thanks to Todd (CIS) letting me use his personal Glock 19!!!! COOP
  21. THE COOP

    1911s

I also had a RIA 1911 compact and great gun for the money. I too spent a lot of time on the 1911 forum's and bought a Dan Wesson PM7, this is and incredible gun and the CBOB is on my list for next gun, do some more research on the 1911 site to answer most of your questions..... COOP
  22. Thanks all, Bill, sorry I couldnt stick around longer and let you test drive the DW, Jeff literally shot the X out of the paper with it and me well.... I'm still learning how to shoot it, basically where ever you point it hot lead follows!!!! COOP
  23. So I've sold a few guns to buy a few guns, my thinking was all my hand guns were compacts and I wanted a few full size hand guns so here they are...... The Sig P229 Elite, was purchased from a friend of mine used, and came with the Rosewood grips and a pair of Houge's but the Rosewoods seem to wide so I swapped.. The Dan Wesson PM7 I purposely bought for a full size 1911 Target pistol and after 2 range trips I'm very impressed, it was also bought used from gunbroker so has a couple light marks mainly from feild stripping...
  24. Glad you like it and I wish I had a chance to shoot it but maybe I can when you come up in a few weeks to Hendersonville!!!!! COOP
