  1. A product for this purpose is "Bright Sights" 1-800-458-9055 My son-in-law just bought a set of the paints and dropped it off for my consideration, so I haven't used the product yet.
  2. When I was in the business world, periodically word lists for report writing made the rounds. Basically, there were several columns of words, and the writer selected one work from each column and added verbs and proper nouns to complete a sentence. I think Kimber does this to create model names...
  3. If you wish to for some reason, you can have a 'smith turn the back of the 45 ACP cylinder enough to allow rimmed 45 ACP to be shot. Would not affect the ability to shoot rimless 45 ACP...or so I'm told...
  4. ShotShow(?) previews indicated that Taurus and S&W have drank the plastic revolver koolaid...but most interesting to me was the large number of new 45/410 revolvers announced. Sounds like Taurus' PR about the Judge being an exceptionally popular revolver is true.
  5. This gun is/was displayed at ShotShow(?) last week. Wonder how Kel-Tec deals with recoil and slide movement. The AutoMag in 22 Mag used "dents" inside the chamber to keep the action locked up until pressure was down. The AutoMag is ammo sensitive...mild recoiling rounds won't work the action, making the gun somewhat of a bolt action.
  6. 16" is minimum federal rifle barrel length. Get a Ruger Charger -- pistol with 10-22 action. But don't put the long stock on it.
  7. There is a range in (or close to) Nashville... Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - Stones River Hunter Education Center Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - Firing Ranges
  8. It is nice. Most exhibits are at the grade school level. Great new planetarium. Has a whooper dooper spinner make you sicker gadget from NASA to simulate fighter plane manouvering. Currently has model train exhibit (or did pre-Christmas).
  9. Saddle Shop in Triune (Nolensville Road & Highway 96) is $30 for a transfer...BUT additional guns on the same Form 4473 transferred at the same time are only $10 each. Plus they are good folks and a stocking/ordering dealer.
  10. Hummmm.... Guy must not have been to old when the surgery was performed. Old Brits don't get repair surgery...
  11. FWIW, I saw an ad on GunBroker clamming that Colt Mustang magazines will fit and function in the SIG P238. Guess Colt should have kept making their 380s...
  12. Did you keep the road kill for stew and the rack for your truck's grill?
  13. Remember that for the first 80 or so years and through the War of Northern Aggression the Stars and Stripes flew over slave states... The famous "Emancipation Proclamation" did not even attempt to free any of the slaves who lived under the Stars and Stripes.
  14. Nashville Zoo started as Grassmere, with a focus on native wildlife. Under its present name it has the more common international wildlife focus. Much more interesting to children than originally. I've not been to the Knoxville Zoo in years, but am somewhat regular at the Nashville and Memphis zoos...the Memphis Zoo is the better of the two.
  15. My favorite as well. All too often he has something new-to-me in the rack or cabinet which causes some of my money to change hands. I need to check out... "Outpost Armory (Christiana, TN): Candy store for gun guys! Lots of goodies and good service. Even have good food, stay for lunch." as it is just up the road from me. Gun City -- I've done business with them off and on for over forty years; I think they are trying to come back from a low point, hope they make it in a now run-down neighborhood.
  16. Well...so far as I know, turn signals are not time specific...they just mean someone has or will turn sometime... As for "Lane ending, merge now" the state highway department thinks Interstate 65 South leads to Huntsville AL, so we don't believe anything else they say either.
