  1. Breaking In a barrel is mostly for benchrest shooters. Like shoot 5 round and clean shoot 5 more rounds and clean again. Repeat till you shoot 200 rounds.
  2. 10MM will vaporize the car door, car, bad guy, road under the bad guy and car, and cause a rift in the space time continuum and disrupt interstellar travel. The point............ Be sure of your backstop.
  3. Yeah you really messed up your gun............send it to me for proper disposal

    AR flash hider

It would probably be cheaper to have it threaded than to have someone pin a flash hider on. The only reason to pin a flash hider is if your going with a 14.5 barrel and need to make it legal. Personally I say thread the barrel and try to get a new stripped flattop upper receiver so you can use any optic you want.
  5. Whispering dead comes for Bambi on this weeks Hunting with Spiffy.
  6. That is just so people can use the same lower for other calibers. It has no legal binding of which I am aware. Like using different uppers on the same lower. You can't use a .308 on a .233/5.56 lower. Any of the others that do not require modifcation of the lower (magwell, LPK,ect) can be used.
  7. No idea on why Colt says that. 99.9% of responses I have seen to "barrel break in" is to just shoot it and shoot it and shoot it.
  8. I talked to my pastor the other night about it. He brought up the subject when I showed him my carry gun. He said there are "others" who carry and he didn't mind if I did.
  9. I got lost on the back side of Oak Ridge one time. Turned on this side road to turn around and there were guards manning a checkpoint. I drove up told them I made a wrong turn they said happens alot and allowed me to do a U Turn and I got out of Dodge.
  10. Pretty much anything is Name Brand. But I would "assume" they mean Glock, Springfeild, Smith, Colt, Ruger.... not a Raven, Jennings, HiPoint. Something you would carry and defend your life with. They probably dont want to have to stop the drills and strings of fire to clear a jam in "el cheapo".
  11. Too many shootings in churches in the last few years to not carry in Church. While I haven't started carrying in church yet since Im still kinda new to everyone (we joined last week), the preach has a 357 he talks about so Im going to approach him in a few weeks. While I figure JC is cool with my carrying, it would be best to inform the pastor in case something was to come up.
  12. ^^^^^^ Yup any hit is a good hit but not as "tight" as I was looking for in any answer LOL.
  13. Raise your hand if you spent $400+ on a console system to play a shooter.
  14. What group size do you consider proficient at 3 to 5 yards , 10 yards, 15 yards and 25 yards with a carry gun. I know some of you can shoot 1 ragged hole with guns but for combat accuracy what do you strive for.
  15. There are a lot of vendor ads on GlockTalk. You might want to look around there.
  16. Some real good info here Practical Preparedness - Index page If you ever hung out in S&P on Glock Talk, this is where the good posters went to.
  17. I don't think i would go with the UTG stock set. Maybe if it was just the stock but I think I would get a "brand name" buffer tube and buffer and spring but that's just me. While there it's not a part that is stressed....why risk a buffer tube that might cross thread or break off in your lower.

    Good Deal?

The photo isn't a 40 rd mag it's a 30 round mag. I'd get it and some 20 rd Pmags.
  19. Sounds like a "training issue". I was trained as a small child what would happen if I touched a gun without Dad being present. Let's just say I took my father at his word about how my back side would feel if I was ever foolish enough to touch a gun alone.
  20. If you want to build a "race gun" one of the aftermarket vendors is the way to go. If you have something wrong with yours or want an OD frame you have to send it to Glock and they can replace it.
  21. Happiness truly is a good local stocking gun dealer.
  22. Kinda like walking thur town with my SASS rig on. Legal but not a good idea.
  23. Your instructor sounds like a tool to me.
  24. If they ask you to leave for carrying in a restaurant ........... Do you have to pay the bill before you leave?
