  1. I gave $37 for a box of 50 I think. It was time to upgrade my ageing stash of Hydro Shock.
  2. Ruger fixed a Mini 14 a guy had a bad reload in. It was bought second or third hand and they fixed it. They were very interested in seeing what happened to it.
  3. It's the Sherpa Lining in the Carhartt coats that stop the 9mms and 40 Short and Weak.......... I just carry 45 230 +P because I can't conceal the grip of a 500 S&W LOL.
  4. I'd go to the DLC. I renewed by mail and got screwed and paid twice.
  5. It's a collector thing. My sister collects Barbie dolls............ she is totally anal over the condition of the box. I guess if I was buying a Python or something with no marks on the cylinder it might matter to me. But I shoot my P7M13......... it is about the only "collectible" gun I have.
  6. At least this one isn't married to your sister........................................
  7. I don't know my Win 94 Carbine is pretty short. I don't know if you could get it SBR'ed and save much more length. Between Wanted Dead or Alive... and the guy on the new Magnificent Seven, It would look good with my brace of Rugers.

    Sig owners?

Toss up between the P228 and the G19 for best 9mm EVER!
  9. You city boys sure do have purdy mouths HEE HAW!!!!
  10. The correct terms should be "You should remember this". Never say This is one the test.......... that could get your instructor in trouble. Anything that is repeated more than twice you should remember. There are other ways that people make a point to get you to remember something.
  11. Where is Oak Ridge shooting at now? Are they still shooting the matches off the Watt Road exit and off buttermilk up at the farm or have they moved to the range outside of Oak Ridge?
  12. You can stand back and throw the shells through the target and pass. There were guys who took forever to shoot a 6 round string and they ripped one ragged hole......... how many think you will have that kinda time if you need to use your gun.
  13. I OC in a stiff wind................ but only till I get my shirt tail back down.

S&W 547 SMITH WESSON 9MM ORIGINAL IN BOX I TRADE! : Revolvers at GunBroker.com Has some really good pics of the extractor near the bottom of the page. The 9mm wheel gun seems to be popular this week. There has been a thread on every major gun forum I am a member of. As for need of a 9mm snub nose. A need could be that you don't want to stock different ammo. Like all you have is 9mm 5.56 22lr 308 and 12 gauge.
  16. 1) Taurus PT99AF steel frame 9mm ........ really old one of the 1st models and 1st handgun I ever owned. 2) HK P7M13 chrome finish.
  17. Mom has a movie on LMN right now. Taken in Broad Daylight. The guy off Dawson's Creek just jumped out and got her in the mall parking lot. She had her iPod on and didn't hear or see him and there was like 4 or 5 people just standing there watching.
  18. Ft Campbell is a military base and is subject to different rules than say Sea Ray boats. If they run a dog through most parking lots, I wonder how many will hit on the beer in cars, and the dope in cars. Never saw anyone with a gun on at work..... seen a ton of people come in drunk or high and have booze and drugs in their car and drink on the way home.
  19. Well I told my GF when we get married I will buy her any GLOCK that she wants to carry.
  20. Courthouse......... probably be a problem........... in the mall maybe not so much. Lot of good thought out answers in this thread.
  21. This is my take on OC and public perception. In our father's youth all the TV shows were westerns. Everyone wore a gun unless they were the reformed outlaw or preacher or deacon who didn't believe in killin ... and we know how those story lines played out. We as kids got to play with toy guns and run around screaming BANG! playing ...... Cowboys and Indians. Somewhere along the way the gritty real life (yeah right) Hollywood cops and robbers came along as the big TV shows. Most were men our father's age with snub nose wheel guns or a 1911 (Magnum PI). So it set the stage for Cops have guns and the bad guys have guns. The average extra on the set didn't get a fake gun to wear under their coat. This all starts to make sense when you see that a section of people think only Cops and Soldiers should have guns. Because this is all they ever see as good guys on TV with guns. If there is a great conspiracy to disarm America......... and I think there is for bibical reasons....... this is a major part of it. Popular media sets what we think of as reasonable..... agree or not it does. Rap songs are full of Thugs with Glocks and AKs.
  22. I wanna meet him................. naw maybe not.............. ok I will meet him........... naw I'll pass
  23. Gunbroker will tell you the high side.
  24. I get nervous when I have ICB root beer in the car. That bottle looks real from a distance.
  25. He dropped the slide with the release on cartridge in the chamber then put a full mag in the grip. He didn't drop the slide on a mag and chamber a round the correct way.
