I decided to go a little different route since I'm wanting a 556. May make it 556/9mm going to use the FLO kit. Was pricier for sure.

I loved blowing stuff up as a kid and would mainly tear open firecrackers to get the powder. I was an NRA member way back then and received a mailer from their book club, or some such. One of the books was The Chemistry of Powder and Explosives. I ordered it and never had to tear open another firecracker! The secret ingredient was aluminum dust. I found an old arts supply store and they sold it it one pound cans. It was kind of expensive but it was the trick. After that we graduated up to schedule 80 pvc and made some real noise.

I didn't even know you could buy them by the 100.
I'm guessing they don't have a upc for a box of 1000? I'm really surprised they actually put them out on the floor rather than behind the counter.

I lucked into some at Academy about two weeks ago. Small pistol primers were around $4/100 and on sale so I got them for $2.99/ 100. I couldn't believe it.

Are you planning 22lr, or 556?

9/32" That was the size recommended to me by someone that had constructed a similar suppressor. It's large enough to allow the projectile to pass, but it's small enough to diminish the sonic wave. Remember not to do any drilling until you have the tax stamp in hand.
Roger that!

I purchased my kit from a vendor at one of the Knoxville gun shows. If someone wanted to be completely off the books, I suppose they could pay cash. Anyways, purchasing from them allowed me to see different sizes of tubes, and the differences in baffles. Since the one I built is for .22, I went with stainless steel for the baffle next to the blast chamber, and aluminum alloy for the other six baffles. Overall the fit is very good and it looks like a commercial suppressor. Their kits come in various lengths and diameters, depending upon the caliber of the build. I don't know if they have a website, but their e-mail address is solventtubes (at) gmail.com They mentioned they do a number of larger gunshows. I'm very happy with mine and it is dedicated to a Ruger precision rimfire rifle, with a night vision scope.
Just picked up a similar kit at the Lebanon show today. Same guy. What diameter drill did you use? I'm going to submit my form on Monday

Got there about 10:30. Good crowd about 50/50 on masks it seemed. Bulk ammo was pricey, boxed self defense ammo was about what you'd expect at the gshop. Some tables were lined up with 3 or 4 waiting to complete paperwork. Walking around guns were priced kinda nutty. I saw a lot of cash changing hands. I'd say the vendors will be happy tonight.

Local pickup in Mt. Juliet only. I don't want to mess w/ shipping.
I'd go for that, I'm in Lebanon.

We had one on tax day. Changed out my hummingbird fluid today.

There has been a feeding/fighting frenzy over the last couple of weeks. I've had as many as 7 with 3-4 feeding at once on the same feeder, which never happens.
The last couple of days I'm down to one or two. Guess most have headed south.
-
We've got more now that we have had all summer. At least 5 swarming, maybe 6. I've just got one feeder up this year, but they don't eat it down very quickly because they are squabbling over it so much!

Not what you asked for but the two free lights with coupon at Harbor Freight are great lights in a pinch. They have redesigned both of them and are pretty darn bright.

The “NO TREPASSING” sign was shot with a Colt Monitor in the film.
yes, that was a technical slip up. There were a couple of others I think I caught, but don't recall now. I just figured the pansys at Netfilx didn't care anyway.

while we may feel loyalty, I've never seen an insurance company reciprocate.

I haven't been to the Sparta show in a while, but it was good the last time I went.

my brother inlaw is making some now. He's been piddlying with it off and on. Sent me a photo of his crystallized ammonium nitrate last week. It looked pretty good. I told him he was going to shoot his eye out.

Never did. It was more of a flash powder and never did think of it. We were more interested in making noise. Did make some smoke bombs. At some point we came across a huge surplus smoke can. Seems like it was gallon paint can size. Man it smoked forever.
