  1. This survey illuminates the reason it is difficult for someone in Chattanooga, who advertises in the Classifieds at TGO, to sell or buy Face to Face. Comparatively speaking, there aren't many Chattanoogans on this board! Saddd.....(((
  2. I'm going to try to set up a poll here to see which major areas are best represented by TGO people....
  3. I really like your high resolution and sharply lit photos! Good work!
  4. This is the year of the 1911 centennial, so I'm going to show off my Kimber 1911. It's a beauty... Mousegunner's Review of the Kimber Team Match II (.45 ACP)

  6. Jimenez guns are made of Zamak, a very interesting alloy of zinc.

    AK advice

There are no bad AK-47s. Even the cheap Romanians are OK. $500 would be more in line, unless there is a "bunch" of mags, carrying case, ammo, etc, coming along with it.
  8. While the Lorcin 9mm is not a wonderful gun, it is just flat wrong to believe that it is likely to injure the person using it. With some fluffing and buffing it can be a fun gun at the range. However, it is not known for reliability, and it is not that great a gun for carrying for self-defense. But it won't hurt you unless you neglect the rules of gun safety. It is available nowadays as the Jimenez JA-Nine, and it has a following.
  9. My cut off was $300. I can't see calling a pistol "cheap" if it costs more than that. Generally speaking, it might be better to spend $300 on a good used pistol than to get a cheap new pistol. But it was a fun chart to research.
  10. GLOCK G27 is a rat gun.
  11. This is a chart of the cheapest 9mm pistols, new retail prices, not msrp. Of course quality varies drastically. But if you are on a budget, and want to shoot 9mm, this chart may give you some direction...
  12. Very nice collection!
  13. The price will go up because of the ongoing dollar devaluation. Inflation is roaring along, and it isn't going to stop anytime soon. I hope you are right, and that the price will go down, but I will be vastly surprised if that happens. And, do you think gun owners caused the recent ammo shortage? I sure didn't. I couldn't find the ammo. Did you guys cause an ammo shortage? I have my doubts.
  14. You're right. Rats! I'm running out of space! Here's a Ruger link: Ruger® LC9™ Centerfire Pistol Models I added it to the chart, but it looks bad, and I need to re-do the whole thing! Well, that will keep me out of trouble for a little while.
  15. Folks, we had better get out there and load up on ammo right now, because copper is headed higher every day. It's only a matter of weeks or months before prices of ammo head up again, and it might be by quite a bit. Gold rises; copper sets new record Metals Stocks - MarketWatch
  16. I've added the Boberg 9mm "shorty" to the chart. An impressive design, with rotating barrel, and pocket-sized.
  17. Very interesting end to a basketball game...See the YouTube video... !
  18. The Jimenez JA22 is a great little pocket gun, and has proved to be reliable and durable. Minimags seem to function best. I liked mine so much I gave it as a present to a friend, and would like to have another one some day. Here are some hi-res photos... Jimenez JA22 Gallery
  19. It's going to get too wide for the screen! But thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to perfect it.
  20. It's difficult and arbitrary to say "here and no further" to be a "sub compact" pistol. I know! But my personal opinion is that any pistol heavier than 20 ounces is pushing the envelope. The PX4 weighs nearly 28 ounces and is 7.5 inches long. It won't work in my subcompact chart!
  21. The newly announced Sig 290 moved me to make a chart of 9mm sub-compact guns. It's kind of rough, but may be of use to someone. I had to choose some arbitrary "cut off points" to make the chart.... Weight must be 20oz or less. Length must be 6.4 inches or less. Height must be 5.0 inches or less. Got to draw a line somewhere for "sub-compact!"
  22. Well, if you can't beat them, join them......I think Fred and Barney had to do that in their lodge meetings, back in the stone age. Honestly, I think they did...
  23. Fat lot of help you guys are! Seriously, does anyone know what it means? Maybe it means absolutely nothing. Hope so!
  24. If you put your thumb in your ear, and wave your fingers at someone, does this MEAN anything in particular? What?
