  1. Well I can't believe it nobody has actually said they are carrying a real knife!! I carry every day a Case XX Yellow Handle full size trapper. I have a large number of fixed blade, assisted opening, balisongs (Actually built in the Phillipines) and custom made knives. About 5 of the customs were built by my Dad with some awsome handle materials. I would carry one of those if I could replace them. So it's back to the full size trapper. Anything from a bream (Fish) to a whitetail deer is fair game with it and they hold a decent edge for a store bought knife. The only other knife that I did not see addressed on here was a Randell made knife.(http://www.randallknives.com/) read the history it's pretty cool. I was also told by a friend that visited there shop in Orlando that they had a museum with letters from people who had bought there knives. I have one that I should be recieving in about 3 more years for my 3 year old son and will be odering another as soon as new boy gets here.
  2. Mathews outback at 74lbs does of course you can't eat horns
  3. I have a couple of rifles that my Dad refinished using trueoil and an air brush the finish looks like you could reach through it.
  4. KWE/SureShot, I looked at the Crossbreed Website after reading a few post. The Crossbreed looks like a slick holster. I just hate that I can't put my hands on one and try it. Or at least look it over instead of performing a remote visual inspection and evaluation. Sureshot the Galco does not look bad either
  5. I've been looking at IWB holsters for my RIA 1911 Officers model 3.5" barrel. Right now I'm looking at a Milt Sparks holster. I would like to be able to tuck my shirt in.
  6. As soon as I get my safe modified all of my guns that are not being carried will be in the safe.
  7. What did you use to sray this with? How much prep work was required? I'm thinking about trying some on one of my guns.
  8. I caught bits and peices of one of the shows. I was not impressed. OK no guns or ammo. What about bows, arrows, and spears every little boy should learn to make a spear I mean can we really believe 100,000 yrs ago man created a spear and none of them are capable now???

    1911 .45

RIA, Colt, & SA had/have one or two of each and I have not been disapointed but the colts did have to be tweeked.
  11. I picked up a RIA M1911A1 Officers model (3.5" Barrel) for a carry pistol. I came with what appears to be a Duracoat coating. The sights are Novak knock offs (Maybe real??) I agreer that the front one is hard to see without some work. I've run 2-300 rounds through the gun so far without a single malfunction. In my hands it shoots better than my Colt Combat Commander and my fullsize colt . I' have been seaching the internet trying to find some tweeks that I could do and I can't find anything that it really needs other than a set of stocks.
  12. Just geting settled up here in TN from North East LA (Louisiana). I've been hunting up here for about years now and love this place.
