  1. Hey guys/gals I have just recently purchased a Colt Commander and I want to have some work done on it. I want a new trigger, hammer, beavertail grip safety, full length guide rod. Thats a good start but I have no idea of a Good, Reliable quality gunsmith around here. Any advise on this matter would be greatly appreciated
  2. definately a sad day for this young soldiers family, prayers being sent to his loved ones....

  4. dont get me wrong, I have owned and used my M9 in combat. With that said, I just dont like them. I cant stand the long trigger. They are reliable and tough as heck. Not bashing your iron, just my .02 on them.
  5. I gotta say that my hats off to the Representive from Dickson Tn. I live very close to Dickson Co. and I am very proud that this State Rep is taking on the fight for us. I hope this issue will soon get resolved..
  6. well I almost always OC, but I guess to avoid a possible hassle I could CC just for a few min while I pick up the children. Thanks for all the post guys.. What a forum, I really enjoy posting and reading here.
  7. well i dont worry about an accidental discharge, Its not like i have my weapon out just hanging. Accidential discharge is a thought that I dont worry with.
  8. Well I guess I will start with asking the owner, which I know quite well if she has any accredited teachers. If she says no, I guess I will inform her that I carry a weapon and want to know if she has any problems with me having it on my person when I pick up my children. The worse thing that she could say is no, and then I guess i could tell her thats fine and by the way, today will by my childrens last day at her daycare..... I wonder if that would change her mind with the issue...
  9. Well guys im not exactly new here, but I am posting from my new rersidence. I would like to take this time to tell everyone that I have made it home from Baghdad after a year long deployment. I have been busy getting back to normal and adjusting to civilian life again. I am just here recently getting back on the forum and checking things out. This may not be the proper place to post this, if so I appologize in advance.
  10. Well, sorry for not posting in a while and not changing my location. I have recently returned home from a year long deployment in Baghdad Iraq. Now its back to the civilian life like picking up the children and living everyday life. And this is a issue that was concerning me.
  11. I have searched the posts and I cant find the answer to my question. I was wanting to know if it is legal to carry into child daycare. I have to pick my daughter and son up from daycare and just to be on the safe side I leave my weapon in the truck. Can anyone tell me if its legal to carry into child daycare that is under the states supervision?
  12. well as an update, I called the Dept of Safety and they said that they made the mistake (imagine that) I asked them if my permit was showing up on record as showing an expired date and they said yes. I then asked them if my HCP was active or not, and as you might have guessed, its not active and I cant legally carry with my permit. So now I have to sit and wait for them to mail me a NEW HCP. So I guess I can just sit here and carry my weapon around the house and not on me when I leave my property. Yea, saying that im PO is an understatement........
  13. :lol:what was i thinking,,, your probably right. LOL wish i could really laugh about it but it has me pretty dam mad right now.
  14. Hey guys, this may not be the right place to post this question, if not I do appologize. My question is this, I came home from Iraq on midtour and got my carry permit. I went back to Iraq and 5 months later I came home and my permit was waiting for me at the house. However, I noticed that the experiation date was wrong, it said it expires in 2005, when I just received it. I am so very pissed right now, I know I need to call the dept of safety, I just dont know what or how long it will take to rectify the situation and if I can carry my handgun even though the permit says it expires in 2005. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated:eek:
