I have a P22 that has been great. No FTF's or FTE's like all of the naysayers have posted. My buddy has the Mosquito Sport model and I have shot it many times also without any problems. He has had only ONE FTE that I know of. I must say, it feels and shoots great. We have been buying the 550 count box of Federals lately from Wal Mart and have never had any problems with either pistol. I have also read that both are "ammo sensitive" but have not experienced that for myself yet.

Back on topic, I carry my USPC .40 with full mag, round chambered, hammer down, safety off. First shot is DA. So I would say NOT locked, NOT cocked but always ready to rock!

Finally, someone writes about me!

Unfortunately, I cannot help you out by taking her. I have a dog, two cats and a teenager so I'm already overrun. I do however want everyone to realize, whether you think she or any dog is worth it or not, Chihuahua's sell for anywhere between $600 and $1000 every day. I have absolutely no doubt that you can find a home for her AND get $200. Good Luck. Dave

More Signs (mod note: contains link to potentially offensive material)

Too bad HE isn't running for president...... -
+1 with small hands. I like the "feel" of the XD better but the M&P "fits" me better. I still prefer the P2000 over both but that is truly another subject.

I have a Walther PPK that I like to carry from time to time as it is a nice sized back pocket pistol. It is however a little heavy and the Trigger pull feels like it is 3 inches and 40 lbs (really it is slightly shorter and actually around 17 lbs) To be honest, I bought it more for novelty to add to my collection but I think the Bersa would be better for a lady IMHO. I would agree however with others here that you would be better off trying to find a small 9mm as they are cheaper to shoot and really don't feel that much different as far as recoil.

That is actually less than I expected. I wonder if the new Slides/Barrels include a mag or two? So If I go ahead and order a .40 S&W barrel for my my P226 in .357 Sig., I'll still have around $1000 invested, but will not have different frame sizes. I guess I can see some benefit, especially if you want to go from .357 to .45 or 9mm.

My "limited" understanding of the P250 is that you don't change out the barrels, but change out everything except the "fire control assembly" in order to change between calibers and "families (Compact, sub-compact and full). I have not seen one yet in person but have read about them here http://www.sigsauer.com/Default.aspx . If my understanding is correct (and I sincerely hope I am wrong) then this is a bunch of Hype on Sigs part as who would want to buy new slide assembles with barrels AND Magazines to change caliber, and would it really be much of a savings over purchasing another gun? Hopefully I'm way off base here. BTW, Bud's Gun shop in KY has had them for over a month.

And I guess they'll have to be coated since Steel and Aluminum wheels won't mix too well (can you say galvanic corosion )........

I‘ve shot the .40 several times and like it. Well balanced and fealt great in my hands even though it had the medium back strap on it at every time. I have held it with the smallest of the three back straps and I also feel it is a better fit for me. So much so, I’m in the market for one myself right now.

Presidential Candidates' Opinions on Firearms
DavidD replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ok, I take back what I said about Obama being the lesser of the two evils compared to Hilary. We all may very well be doomed my friends. I suggest we all give the economy a real boost over the next year and buy lots of guns......... -
I own both, but carry the .40 purely because of size and capacity. If I were only going to own one pistol to both carry and go to the range and shoot regularly (which everyone should), It would probably be the .40 if for no other reason than the price of ammo.

I feel your pain, but can you pick the worst 2 of the 3?

With quotes like: AND AND Which I totally agree with all three 100%, would it not be an unsually strategic move for republicans to abstain from voting in the Republican primaries, vote for Edwards, or possibly Obama in the Democratic Primaries all just to keep Hilary out? Not that this would happen, but wouldn't it send a message? Of course when it comes time for the election, vote republican, not that it will really matter. Oh well, just an idea in the realms of fantasy.... I better go contact the suicide help hotline now that I have had such thoughts and actually put them in print.

I'll second that. I have only taken the short drive to Greenbrier twice but I have to say, It is the nicest indoor range around. I have not been to On Target in Murfreesboro yet but hear it is also very nice. Of cource I am comparing all to the dungeon at Gun City and I can't imagine worse. They kept saying they were going to remodel but I have yet to see any major improvement but haven't been back in almost two years.

There it is. Plain and simple.

I agree. What are the local gun shops supposed to do, buy all three grip assemblies so they can "interchange" at customers request? I too think SIG could have engineered a better solution.

Come on.

That's it, Rabbi for President!

Why, is there a County Ordinance?
