I currently have Trijicon on my carry piece (H&K USP 40c) and as Todd said, the white around the sights have faded/dulled. I figured the next night sights I boufgt would be Meprolight as well.
-
OK, I give. How many?

I was in a similar situation last year (S&W or Sig). I went with the S&W and have never looked back. Other than a $75 trigger job (original was a little loose for me) and full length guide rod, it is stock. As of yesterday, I have about 600 rounds through it and not one single FTF, FTE or any other problem.

Nice, Very nice. I really like it without the rail. IMHO you lucked out.

Only in the book, NOt the movie. (OK, I admit I looked that one up ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_James_Bond_firearms Anyway, back to the OP's original question. I'd stay away from the 9 short for carry purely because of the ammo. It would make a nice addition to ones collection though.

Funny you mention that. The first one I bought (blued just like James) was in .32. Picked it up used years ago at the gun show for $250. I liked it so much, I ended up buying a new one in stainless. I got the .380 this time though. After all, James hasn't used the PPK in a while so I figured it would be OK.
-
Yes, I have a PPK. Bought it over the Sig 232 because of the "allure" (always was a James Bond fan ) and it's smaller size. My only complaint is it is HEAVY but it looks good and is quite accurate for it's size. I'm waiting on an LCP as well.

That's it 1. Magazine 2. Slide 3. Hammer.
-
OK, I'll take a stab at it: 1. Magazine 2. Slide 3. ........ Can't think of it but I'm pretty sure there are at least 3?
-
Me too. They have not once even felt in the small of my back where I carry. Not to mention how easy it would be to carry in a Kel Tec or LCP. That's the scary part. Think of what the criminals are sneaking in while all of us law abiding citizens are going un armed.......

I agree, but I still like it here.

Finally.. a presidential candidate who makes sense!!

Hmm, I'm surprised the Dem.'s aren't taking a closer look. I really hate to admit it, but you are right. McCain ought to spin it and take it (and her) and run. It might bring the youngsters who really don't know what the're doing over to our side. -
No, just giving you grief. I would like to shoot a Kimber sometime though and also have been admiring the SIS as well for a while. Something about the finish and serrations that really catch my eye. Guns and leather has had one for a while now but I just haven't been able to take the plunge, yet.

A very wise friend indeed!

Yeah I know, you want to keep it all to yourself ................

Going to Stones River? What time?
-
Looks great. Can't wait until I get my LCP (on two waiting lists ). Contrary to what I've read, the Kel Tec clip appears to fit perfect!
-
And remember, if you change your mind and want to part with it, I'm right down the road!
-
Great looking wheel guns! I assume the wood grips came with it? Though I prefer to shoot with the rubber, I really like the looks of the wood.
-
I'd also like to see pictures, especially of the belt clip. Also, where did you get your LCP?
-
Wow, I never knew. Makes sense though! Great piece.

I am and always have been a Republican. I am a Christian, Southerner, believe whole heartedly in the Constitution, Love and am proud of the United States, and have for the most part agreed with the Republican agenda. That being said, I also feel it is time for a change. Of course common sense says that anyone who would be elected as the next President would bring about some change right? Well, one would hope. I do believe that one party should not have the power for too long of a time for no other reason than to keep a little balance. I was also hoping that the Dem.'s could come up with a better candidate than Kerry in the last election, but they didn't. I held my nose and voted for Bush. Am I proud of that? Hell no. But I believe with all of my heart that he is still better than Kerry would have been, but who knows for sure. Now look what the Dem's have given us. Snowbama, the king of BS. All I know about him (minus the rhetoric) is that he believe America is broken and he must fix it, the terrorist attacked on 911 because they are the victims and we aren't empathetic enough, his mentor was Rev. Jeremiah Wright, he was against the troop surge in Iraq, believes my children should learn Spanish to communicate with the immigrants who do not want to learn English, wants to bring the troops home regardless of whether it is the best thing for both countries, does not want more drilling for oil or offer any solution/legislation/relief for us real Americans just because he thinks it's time for alternative fuels, does not understand why I want my guns and cling to my religion, believes he can somehow make my life better by taking away more of my money and independence to take care of me and the less fortunate, and that's about it. I have done quite a bit of research on him as well as the other democratic candidates and believed all along that he and Hillary were the most popular, but they would be the worst for the country. Sure enough, it came down to the two of them. I honestly believe it was solely because she was a woman and he his black (actually half black). What a crying shame when Americans cannot see past gender and race. I would have voted for a black man or a women, just not either one of them. The blacks (per Jessie Jackson) for the most part are going to vote for him JUST because he is black. This is absolute Racism, period. I see how oppressed the black community was and though I can never fully understand, try my best to empathize but will not stoop to voting for Obama as some sort of restitution. Same holds true about voting for McCain. I did not vote for McCain in the Primaries but will vote for him for President. Not because he is white. Not because he is Republican. Not because he is our only choice, but because of those we will have to chose from, he is so far the best choice. Oh don't get me wrong, I am aware there are other choices outside of the mainstream/two parties but unfortunately for America, they do not stand a chance, yet. I hope and pray that the majority of my fellow Americans will wake up in time to see it my way. If not, we will survive. We are, after all, Americans. Now one could always hope after the Democratic and Republican conventions, both candidates would simultaneously self destruct and give Barr and some of the "others" a real shot. But let's face it, it aint happening this year.

Geek toy... Logitech MX Revolution cordless mouse
DavidD replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I have a question. Can one of the buttons be programmed for [ESC] ? The reason I ask is that my old Logitech RM63 Laser is getting really old and of all the available programable button mice I've tried, few are able to be programmed to [ESC].
