  1. I don't remember now, but I'll ask.
  2. Thank you. I have seen so much differing info on this. The gun is brand new and in storage. Not worried about functioning condition. Don't want to start feeding it a diet of wrong ammo. When I ask dealers that sell this caliber pistol they get a deer-in-the-headlights look and say,"yeah I THINK it's .38 Special." I'm not the expert on wheel guns. I like semi-autos.
  3. I just wanted to make it clear that I am talking about .38 Smith and Wesson SPECIAL not .38 Smith and Wesson.
  4. Excuse my clarification...you have shot .38 Special from your gun marked .38 Smith and Wesson SPECIAL and everything functioned safely and properly? I am being meticulous about this because it is a relative with this and I want to be extra careful.
  5. Thanks for the info. I do know about the .38 Smith and Wesson. I am talking about the .38 Smith and Wesson SPECIAL. I know someone who purchased a new Smith revolver and .38 Smith and Wesson Special was stamped on it. Is .38 Smith and Wesson SPECIAL the same as .38 Special?
  6. Is .38 Smith and Wesson Special the same as .38 Special?
  7. What is this? I came across this and was wondering if anyone knows any history about this. I do know it is a Webley, but is it the Mark IV? It also has the British crown cartouche/stamp above the trigger guard in the closeup (above the 'BNP'). This is cartriged in .38 Smith and Wesson (the shorty). Also, what is this thing worth? Sorry for the sub-par pics.
  8. I have a pastor friend that is looking to hunt in N.Georgia near where he lives. Anyone know someone with property that needs some deer managed?
  9. Agreed! TN looks good to me as well. Do you think the most recent election for Governor will change any of this?
  10. At the last gun show I was seeing some polymer or molded carbon bayonets on AR's. These were actually installed on serviceable guns. I didn't ask about them there, but are they display copies or are these supposed to take the place of a real metal one?
  11. Actually mine blows...holes in things.
  12. Try New York State. That's one of the reasons why I left. All handguns have to be registered on your permit. In my county one had to appear before a judge and prove why s/he needed one and then graduate from an open carry to concealed carry. You were not allowed to take a handgun out of a store case unless you already possessed a permit. Not to mention the prohibitive price. This was a while ago and I'm sure it's not much better now.
  13. Is this not defined as 'documentation' which is illegal?
  14. Whether they are anti gun or not, I am still 'bitterly clinging to mine and my religion'.
  15. Warrior Basses is just across the border near East Ridge. Don't expect them to take a small job, though. There is a guitar maker that is in the business development center located at the corner of Manufacturers Rd and Cherokee Blvd. You can pick out the inlay that you would want from Woodcraft on Jenkins Rd. and E.Brainerd Rd.
  16. Pawn shops!!! .22 are cheap!
  17. Stay away from the first generation 9mm unless they have been fixed by the manufacturer. They had jamming and stovepiping problems. I also read an article a while ago where they compared the Beretta 92 and the knockoff Taurus in a several thousand round shoot-off. The barrrels were cut in half length wise and the Beretta lans were excellent, but the Taurus barrel was shotgun bore smooth and worn. This has steered me clear of Taurus. I know that you are talking about the Millenium series but I though this applicable. I can not find the article on the net, but if anyone else could that would be a real eye-opener.
  18. It is funny that I am from NY and I, too, have been bitten by the gun buying bug after knowing I have the freedom to do so down here. I have not heard of what they are saying either. I know that it has to be listed as a pistol if it will be one, but not sure about the other stuff. BTW I'm not a dealer...oops.
  19. Lucas Gun Oil which does not burn off. Unfortunately, I have heard that it is not made anymore.
  20. I found one thanks to the help on here. Thanks a lot guys!
  21. I have yet to see a Charles Daley that could compete with the gun that it was copying. I don't know if they are bad, but for that price you might want to either save a little more or just find something else. There's a whole lot of gun to be found other places under $600+
  22. Dude they need a bailout to fix that escalator!
  23. Beautiful!
