  1. SWEET!
  2. OhShoot, not sure how I am unclear. Springfield changed the finish, thus the rust problem has been corrected.
  3. Having both brands and knowing both sig and glock are great, it seems that sigs are increasing in value faster and at larger rates than the glocks. Depending on the sig's condition you may want to ask for some cash with the acquistion of a 92. I also have no qualm with Beretta saying this, I just don't see the prices climbing with 92's like the sigs. I couldn't buy mine used for the price I paid new a while ago.
  4. Sorry about the reply time. Haven't looked at the thread in a while. I know it was right when Springfield picked up the design from HS and it has been corrected. I don't know the serial range, though. Go from 2006 on and I know you'll be safe. This finish is supposed to be as good as the tenifer coat on the glocks. Mine has had no problems and anyone else that has one since 2006 has been ok. Some from before then are disappointingly stained and rusty.
  5. Good point. Does the argument for them of the 'ends justify the means' stand up in court?
  6. I agree with getting rid of the opt-out. This patchwork stuff is likely to get an honest person uknowingly in trouble.
  7. I've got a Russian and never had a single issue with it. Mine has the acceptance stamp much like yours. Mine's a '54. Did you get a sling, cleaning kit, and the oil bottle with it? I've heard they come with the oiling kit, but I've never seen them.
  8. Not only am I NOT offended by prayer, I will pray as well.
  9. Same as above. Why push the limits?
  10. Bloomburg has started his own coalition trying to get other mayors to ban guns. He is attempting to set precedent...and where do you suppose that will stop? Here's the link. Haven't read this one, just know about it. http://www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/html/home/home.shtml
  11. In the video they cite 30% linked to gun shows. How are they 'linked'? After it was sold three times? After it was STOLEN and then used in a crime? One can twist these stats however one wants. I wish these guys would be definitive with what they cite. Bloomberg is a parasite on the second amendment. He's gathering all this information and I'm sure later this will all be made into a legal battle just to set some type of precedent
  12. I was told by many people in law enforcement to feed 200 rounds through a new gun and never be concerned with acccuracy until then. With several glocks I have seen groups tighten up after 200 rounds. You also don't want to shoot bare lead rounds (unjacketed) through a glock. This will affect accuracy and the manuals also say not to do this.

    advice needed

I don't personally have one of these, but a friend does and they are impressive. You can get them in .40 as well. Small and easy to control.
  14. Love my G30!
  15. Didn't take it as you being nosey. I put it in there and people are welcome to ask.
  16. Would that be Prentice Cooper in your avatar?
  17. Podcasting is a like a radio show on the net you can download. You can find us at mylifeministries.org/thinice. We are an entertainment podcast.
  18. Hey everyone! I'm new here and it looks like you guys have some great advice. Glad to be part of a lot of like-minded people. I am a podcaster and always looking for news. See ya in the threads!
  19. I Iave a glock and an xd9. Science of the glock is better. The difference between 9mm and .40 is a little more muzzle flip on the .40. The main difference would be you practicing a lot to be comfortable. These are both very controllable. XD's are used by law enforcement all over the country so rest easy. You are not wasting your money either way. I am accurate shooting my XD9. My gun is consistant with my accuracy.
  20. Thanks for the link.
  21. Old enough to get into trouble in a hurry!
  22. Hard to sleep with it on my hip. haha!
  23. Any suggestions on a safe place at-the-ready of a firearm in a house with small children?
  24. I think the bail out was nothing but waste and the party line was getting what it has been waiting for when all the dems would be in power at one time. Look at the market - there is a 40% rebound in the last 6 months. This has noting to do with Obama. This has to do with consumer confidence. The high number were inflated two years ago, the same with gas. They were artificially low at the beginning of this year in the high 6K's in the market. Now they are evening out. The market will heal itself if left untouched by government. Go ahead and buy the gold and silver. That's great if you want to do it, but you are buying it at one of the highest times in history. History always repeats itself and gold is going to drop sooner or later. IMO sell what you can before it drops! BTW, groceries aren't going to be any cheaper if you show them a gold brick or a $10 bill.
  25. It just so happens I knew his superior. He's probably whistlin' dixie through the other orifice now.
