  1. Score 3 boxes of 380. Haven't seen any in quite some time.
  2. It's slowly coming back. Talked with a wally world associate this morning. She said she had some 40 SW she stocked yesterday. Didn't ask her what else she'd stocked. Of course the shelves were now bare.   My take away. Every wally world stocks the shelves at different times, different employees on different shifts. It's really a hit or miss to show up at the right time. Unless you know the shifts of said employees. Still hate shopping there, but I kind of enjoy the once a week walk through to see if anything is left on the shelf.
  3.   Exactly. Kid in a candy store, hard to leave without buying something.
  4. Thinking it was Milton who did the BBQ, hopefully he can spring Andrea, but one of them is going to end up in that chair.   Wonder what he plans on sewing up? Do the instruments of torture change if he gets a male in the chair?
  5. Found 2 boxes of 40 SW yesterday at the local wally world. The shelves have been bare the last month or two I've been looking. Shelves were clear as quick as he could put it on the shelf and that was around 1600 on sunday.   Makes me wonder how much is in the back waiting to make its way to the shelves?
  6. Oscar Pistorius charged with murder.   Shot his girlfriend by "mistake".   Interesting snipit from the article.       UN figures show that in South Africa, just over 17 people are killed by gun crime per 100,000 people.     The highest gun death rate in the world is in Honduras with 68 deaths per 100,000. In the USA, the figure stands at 2.97 deaths, while in the UK it is 0.1.
  7.   This was my thinking, it was the media spin of the report. Another reason, not to watch the news. Usually some agenda or bias to every story. Sadly, that's what gets picked up and spit back out with even further non-truths.   Yes, the threat was eliminated. Kinda dumb bringing rocks to a gunfight.
  8. Come on. Is this accurate? Autopsy: US Border Patrol agents shot Mexican teen 7 times from behind
  9. Armed customer shoots dollar store robber, killing him. The customer, who has a concealed weapon permit, shot and killed one of the intruders. Jacksonville, Fla.

    Power grid

So this is how it starts? Lose the power grid. Wow, happened in 2003 in the US and now to a greater extent in India.

    Dan Wesson 15-2

Have you seen this site? Early Dan Wesson's. "The new company initially had no production facilities. Production of the early guns was contracted out to the High Standard company. Eventually, Dan Wesson moved to it's own facilities located in a converted public school, located in Monsoon Massachusetts. This was a modern facility, for it's day, and was able to produce high quality firearms at a relatively low cost." Any thoughts on the High Standard Sentinel Mark III. Identical to the Dan Wesson 15-2. Wonder if they were making them at the same time?
  12. Or another reason. Tennessee is in the top 10 of least peaceful states. 2. Tennessee > Violent crimes (excl. murder) per 100,000: 607.7 (4th most) > Murders per 100,000: 5.6 (12th most) > Incarceration rate per 100,000: 432 (22nd most) > Police per 100,000: 404.8 (6th most) > Basic access: 81.0 (17th lowest) > Total cost of violence: $11.67 billion Tennessee is the second-least peaceful state in the country, and has in fact gotten worse since 1991. Additionally, the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin metropolitan area is among the worst metro areas for peace. The state is one of the most violent, with nearly 608 violent crimes committed per 100,000 residents in 2010. The state also has among the largest relative number of police employees — nearly 405 per 100,000 people. Tennessee also has one of the largest rates of children living in single parent households, one of the highest poverty rates, one of the lowest rates of income inequality and one of the highest rates of births among teenagers.
  13. Finally found the website with a good Dan Wesson review and pictures. Here.
  14. That is one sweet pistol. Didn't even know they had the heavy shroud barrel in that length. Anyone own a High Standard .357 Sentinel Mark III. Precursor to the Dan Wesson. Mine is a early 70's model. Need to get me a 2.5 inch barrel.
  15. That was pretty much what I told my son. It just won't be my EDC.
  16. Dug out my old 80's model, Golden Dragon balisong, yesterday. I wanted to carry it, but evidently they are illegal in TN? To own or carry. Jeez.
  17. Don't think its from the 60's. It appears this one has a safety. I've got one just like it without the safety. Supposedly made before 1974? Cool little pistol.
