Here's the link to check your status, after you've applied on-line. Class on Saturday, finger prints Monday afternoon, after a hour and half wait at the DMV. We'll see how long it takes to arrive in the mail. Props to On Target and their class by Detective Ashley.

RE: the 22LR at that Walmart. 0800 yesterday 10 boxes of Blazer, less the 3 I bought and 10 boxes of CCI. Kinda wish they would start restocking the shelves with 50 round boxes, they last a little while longer. Went back by the same store last night around1730 and it was all gone. Murfreesboro Walmart on Old Fort got the same thing on Saturday night. CCI was gone without even hitting the shelf. First 3 guys got 3 boxes a piece and I got one. The Blazer they couldn't sell because he didn't have the bar code in the computer? (other words he was saving it for his buddies) The other Murfreesboro Walmart didn't get any 22. Lady behind the counter pretty well confirmed what I thought about the other Walmart not being able to sell the Blazer.

Saw a open carry in the mall this past weekend. Pretty crowded, no else seemed to notice.

Seems to be the one thing that stays on the shelf. I've seen at least 1 or 2 cans worth of both at 3 different Wally worlds in the last 2 weeks. The elusive 22 has yet to be spotted, lately.

Walmart north of Chattanooga is corrupt...

Yep, this is the impression I got from my last ammo purchase. -
.22lr 525 bulk packs at Wally Murfreesboro
oldman replied to serbu50's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Stopped at a different wally world at lunch today. FULL cabinet of ammo. Cans of 9mm, 7.62, 5.56. No empty spots on the shelf. Except for the very top of the shelf, with one spot for some 22. 'course there wasn't any. It was a good to see. (the full cabinet) Last week I bought some 22 short CB's at another wally world and got the gruff employee that has had enough of everyone asking about ammo. Got 3 boxes of 100. First time for shorts at Wally world in over a year. -
Trying to play the Walmart .22 game

Saw at least 10 boxes of Remington 225 bulk 22 LR in Madison last night. Only bought 1. -
Always wondered how they could continue to pull this off. Called Metro's non emergency number and they told me to call the fraud department. No one ever answered the phone. Next best thing. Let everyone you know they are in the area. Young man came into our office out by the Grassmere Zoo. "He had a paving crew a couple of streets over." We didn't get taken, he left to get me a business card and never returned. Here are 7 asphalt paving warning signs: Selling door-to-door: Reputable asphalt contractors will sometimes offer there services if they are doing a legitimate job in the immediate area. Always ask for references. Claiming they have leftover asphalt from another job: Professional asphalt contractors will know, with great accuracy, how much paving material is needed to complete a project. Rarely will they have leftover material. Some of the reasons a contractor might have left over material are due to weather, equipment problems, cancellations and etc. Push you to make a quick decision: Reputable contractors will provide a written estimate that will be valid for weeks or months. If the great deal they are offering you today is not available tomorrow or next week it may be a scam. No contract offered: Insist upon a written contract specifying in detail, the work to be performed and the agreed upon price. Cash only sales: Most reputable contractors take checks or credit cards and don’t require cash-only terms. Deals that seem to be good to be true: If the quoted price seems very low, chances are the quality of the work will also be quite low. Unmarked truck: Often the trucks they travel in are unmarked or they have an out of town address and phone number. A little research will reveal that they have no permanent address and the phone number is often an answering machine. A professionally designed and properly constructed asphalt pavement will last for many years and most reputable contractors will stand behind their work. Know who you are doing business with. Consumers are safer dealing with a contractor who has roots in the community.

Although sam adams is the beer that brought me into the craft beer world, oh 20 years or so ago. I won't be rushing out to pick up a sixer. Much better stuff in cans nowadays. Still only grab the cans for the fishing or camping trips, prefer my beer out of a bottle.

3 cases 10 or 20, 50 round boxes of 9 mm PPU at Murfreesboro Walmart last night. Also, some 556, but it was about gone.

I see this type of stockpile as a investment. But, only if you have enough other assets that are more quickly converted to cash if needed or a safe full of cash if an emergency arises. Items to barter in hard times is pretty smart. Alcohol, gasoline, food, ammo and so on will be worth more than cold hard cash depending on the scenario. Not for me to judge, just seemed odd.

From Armslist. I am wanting to sale $2,000 worth of my Walmart ammo. Mostly 22.'s 9.'s 40.'s and 45's. You know you can double your money. 3,250 is 22.'s. BULK RATE ONLY. DO NOT CALL IF YOU DON'T HAVE $2,000. I have receipts. All ammo is about 6 months old hehehehe. guess someone isn't having any luck selling their ammo.

380 Winchester white box 100 count, 9 mm PPU 50 count, Harding and Nolensville Rd this am.

Just got a call from my insurance broker. Blue Cross / Blue shield is pushing/encouraging/offering early renewals for Health Insurance. I've yet to read through their literature, nor my brokers. But, it would appear they are afraid of losing some customers. As an employer with less than 50 employees, we don't have to offer health insurance. Is this scaring the brokers and Blue Cross / Blue Shield to start this early renewal process?

Federal Hydrashock in 9mm, 45 and 380. Most ammo I've seen at Wally World in quite some time. Corner of Nolensville and Harding, this am.

223 Remington at Wally world corner of harding and Nolensville. Picked up 3 boxes to trade. 10 more went on the shelf. edit. Looks like I might get stuck with this. Plenty of this stuff showing up on Gunbot.

Kinda got to where I enjoy the visit to Wally world, once or twice a week on the way to work. Pretty sad that's the highlight of my day to score any ammo. Agreed, it's all timing. I've only scored when it's being wheeled out of the back and never even makes it onto the shelves, before its all gone. I have taken to flagging the Armslist ads with the overpriced ammo, that I know assume has been purchased at Walmart. I'll leave reporting those folks to the IRS to someone else. Not my business. Appears based on Armslist, ammo is in shorter supply in the Knoxville area than around here in Middle TN.

Not even close. Thought I did good to get 3 boxes of 9 mm from the local wally world. Hadn't seen any in 3-4 months.

Murfreesboro Police gun buyback this Saturday
oldman replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Wouldn't a bill of sale from the seller and a picture of their drivers license be sufficient to cover one's rear? Seriously thinking of going with a couple of blank bill of sales, a nice sign "cash for guns" and see what happens. -
Very chaotic day for the running community. Finally heard that everyone I knew who were running are ok. The explosians were timed to affect maximum casulaties, right around the 4:00 hour mark. 27,000 runners had already passed the finish, but this is about the middle of the pack.

Exactly. Saw a case worth of 7.62 on the shelf last night, at my home town wallyworld. Pretty sure he stocks late afternoon. Could see all of the empty boxes and the profiteers hadn't made thier rounds, yet. Hopefully everyone stops paying the crazy prices on Armslist or Gunbroker and the profiteers get stuck with their ammo.
-
Things are turning. 10 boxes of 9 mm on the shelf. Hopefully the profiteers have stopped snatching up as frequently?

Empty shelf this morning. So looked in showcase/counter cabinet as above. Usually all I can see is some 12 guage. But, did notice 2 big boxes of Winchester and Remington. This morning a young man asks what I'm looking for: "12 guage OO". He opens the back digs around and nope, none of that. I asked for the other calibers I'm interested in, nope none of that. BUT, he did get in some 40 that he hasn't stocked yet. Plus some other stuff. So, bottom line, doesn't hurt to ask. I know the folks working the counter get tired of being asked. Perhaps instead of hoarding they're only trying to keep the resellers honest?

With so many Walmarts, some associates must be buying/hiding, some stock as they get it and others are waiting on the tax stamps. The armslist markup folks must be getting most of it. It does seem to be turning around. The last few gun shops I've been in, have had ammo and weapons. It'll be nice when folks quite paying the inflated prices on Armslist, so the market can stabilize and those who bought to resell have to sell at the price they bought it. The one thing that just doesn't make any sense is the 22 shortage. Maybe because of the cheap price for so much ammo at one purchse. The reseller can buy 3 bricks for roughly the price of one box of decent hand gun ammo.
