  1. I know that's a loaded question. But I was going through the safe the other day and realized I have all the guns I want (or am willing to pay for anyway). Sure, there's the dream of being the first kid on my block with a Browning Ma Deuce. But in All honesty, and within a budget that'll keep momma happy, there's not a single pistol or rifle I've just gotta have. Seriously, what's wrong with me?
  2. Sold my last RIA compact for $425 to a friend. Thats fair market for a used one. Sold mine with the hogue grips and two mags.
  3. A copperhead bite my boot so I backed away. He raced toward me and struck at my feet again so I retreated further. He raced at me again and I stomped on his head. That was the second time I had a snake advance toward me even after I changed direction. First time was a cotton month in a creek while swimming. You can say they don't chase humans but I've experienced different.
  4. You've apperantly never had a venomous snake chasing you or your child.
  5. Luckily mine is the .32 so its not as snappy as the .380.
  6. As some of you know I recently purchased a gently used Seecamp LWS32. The pistol is intended for weak hand front pocket carry as a BUG to my primary weapon. The size and constructon of the pistol was what first drew me to it and the very positive reviews is what sealed the purchase. Unfortunately after getting it a few weeks ago, I was not able to get any range time with it until today. First let me say this is a defense gun only. Its not a suitable range gun or tactical weapon. It has no sights and will only feed quality defense hollow point ammo (ball ammo is too long to fit in the magazine). So its expensive to shoot and hard to aim using your eye. That being said, it is a very effective defense weapon when using the military combat point and shoot training method originally developed for the 1911. When I tried sighting down the barrel, I missed horribly. But when exercising proper grip and alignment, I was able to simply point the firearm like I'd point my finger and score very respectable hits on the target at 5 yards. After 40 rounds of Hornady 60 grain XTP with no issues, I can now honestly say "I love this gun". For anyone debating on a pocket carry piece, the Seecamp is absoluty one to consider. 10x10 target at 5 yards (15 feet) using point and shoot aiming.
  7. Nothing finer than seeing a woman shoot a gun she likes. Congrats to you both.
  8. It's totally pointless which makes it cool.
  9. Thinking about a Dom Hume 001. Anyone tried this one?
  10. My version of a 10/22 plinker. I know its not what your looking for but it does show what can be done with a Ruger and a generous budget.
  11. This is a converted Marlin 765 in a bullpup stock I built with my son. Easy to carry and fun to shoot. Total build was under $300. http://i944.photobucket.com/albums/ad282/mykltn/2012-05-03184404-1.jpg
  12. I've owned my New Agent for about a year. Before getting it I had owned a Springfield GI 5", Springfield micro GI, RIA compact, Colt mark IV series 80, and an ATI FX45. By far the best self defense1911 I've owned has been the Colt New Agent. Compact, easy to carry and it eats any brand of ammo flawlessly. I've shot jacketed ball, hollow point, several types of Personal Defense rounds, steel cased and aluminum cased ammo and it never jammed. Its a great gun and you shouldnt have a problem trading or selling it if you choose.
  13. Picked up the Seecamp and am currently sporting it in a blackhawk #1 pocket holster. This setup works but its not ideal.
  14. Picking up my Seecamp tomorrow from my ffl and will soon start my search for the perfect pocket holster. Any suggestions?
  15. I purchased a used California Edition Seecamp 32 off gun broker with three mags. Its been delivered to my local ffl but will have to wait til Tuesday to get it as they're closed Sun and Mon.
  16. I don't think Seecamp makes one in 32NAA. I believe only North American Arms produces that pistol in the Guardian model.
  17. Colt New Agent 1911. Its thinner, shorter and weights the same as the g36 plus it has an external safety.
  18. Dos Vedanya Mikhail http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/12/23/mikhail-kalashnikov-dead-at-4-designed-ak-47-rifle-which-100-million-have-been/
  19. Anybody have the California Edition? If so, what's the safety like?

    Para P12

Wish mine ran flawless. I'd have kept it.

    Para P12

I had a para p12 a few years ago. I put 400 rounds of mixed ammo thought it and it failed at least once on every mag full. I loved the concept but hated that I couldn't trust it. I eventually sold it and never looked back.
  22. I'm watching 4 on gunbroker right now. All used in like new condition. There are a few new ones also between $425 and $500.
  23. Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm pretty much convinced the Seecamp will be my next pistol. Now I've just got to find one at a good price.
  24. Well if I get the 32acp I can keep the eagle. If I get the 380, the eagle will have to go. Plus I need something to fill the .32 hole in my collection. Lol
  25. "Why the .32 instead of the .380?" I have a .380 Micro Desert Eagle I like and the Seecamp .380s are $300 more than the .32s. I also don't have to explain to the misses why I need two .380s if I get the .32acp.
