  1. I like quality built guns. I tend to go more for steel or metal frames than polymer. Just my preference. I like the seecamp based on its size and construction but wanted input from actual owners before pulling the trigger on one. Price is not as much of a concern as is concealability, reliability and long service life.
  2. Ive read a few comparison reviews of the keltec vs seecamp and it looks like the keltec has some long term wear concerns over the seecamp. Any thoughts?
  3. Good looking trio of pistols ya got there.
  4. I've got Seecamp on my mind. I was looking at the .32acp and it caught my interest. Wanted to get some opinions from folks that have had them (good and bad). Any info is appreciated.
  5. Ruger sp101. Good looks, built like a tank and it shoots great. It's a meat and potatoes .357 in a blonde bombshell body. Damn! Now I want one.
  6. $400 at Academy Sports. They've gone up since I purchased mine two years ago. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/smith-wesson-bodyguard-380-380-caliber-semiautomatic-pistol/pid-785661?N=39632023
  7. $400+ sounds high to me. I had the .38spl and if memory serves, I believe I gave $350 for it. The .380 was only about $10 or $15 more at Academy Sports. Gun broker has the .380s on the $350+ range. Good luck.
  8. I know its not on your list but have you considered the kimber Solo?
  9. Ok, got the Bauer shipped in last week. Gave it a good inspection and cleaning. Then off to the Gun City range. (I know! Not a great place to shoot but it's convenient) Had to place the target out 50 feet which was quite a distance given the Bauers very petite sights. And seeing as I wear bifocals, aiming with those sights is not an easy task. I was still able to get all 50 rounds of Remington fmj on target and about 20% of those shots were double taps. No feed of ejection issues at all. The gun just worked, plain and simple. It looks to be 100% reliable and accurate. Now I would rarely, if ever, use this as a primary weapon (only in cases were I absolutely, positively couldn't conceal anything bigger). But I believe it would be a very good back up or last ditch weapon for very close quarters defence (head and face shots at arms lenght). All in all, I am very pleased with this little gun and even more so with the $200ish price I paid.
  10. I'd be interested in that as long as the wood grips are in very nice condition. The pearl grips on mine look to be in great shape. No cracks or blemishes.
  11. Got the Bauer today from my local FFL. Gun looks very good for a 30 something year old pistol. It makes my micro desert eagle look like a full size pistol. I already hate the pearl grips so that's getting changed first. Also managed to score 150 rounds of 25acp from my local walmart. Will be spending at least 50 of those on a range visit soon. Will post a range report after.
  12. Colt vest pocket, Baby Browning and Bauer are all John M Browning designs. The Bauer is just the most affordable and the one I'd least feel bad about abusing in my change pocket or glove box. Plus PSA still makes parts for the Bauer.
  13. And there is probably a reason someone else didn't.
  14. My new Bauer 25 auto has been purchased and is on its way to my local FFL. We shall see how it works out as my new bug to my bug. Lol.
  15. Thanks. I think I've got a line on one at a reasonable price.

    Snake guns

Shovel? Tarp? Chainsaw? Pellet rifle? You're joking right? It's a snake. I hit one a week in my truck driving the back roads to work and back. No fines so far. If one is by my kid on my property, he's getting the top barrel of my Bond Arms Snake Slayer. F the tarp or shovel, I'm rocking the 410.
  17. Yes, a Colt vest pocket in very good condition is cool. But please see above post about safe queens. I want the Bauer as a back up to my back up. I want it for carry not the cool factor. Colt vest pocket/Baby Browning= expensive, cool, classic, collectable guns you don't want to damage. Bauer 25 auto = inexpensive, reliable, quality, deep concealment gun I won't worry about getting holster wear on. Please, I appreciate your opinions, but I'd like to get them on the Bauer only. I'm not looking for alternatives or suggestion of what you might think is a better gun. I'm just looking for first hand experiences from folks who have owned or shot the Bauer and any info on where one might be locally.
  18. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369270680 $349 is the current bid, not the sale price. Buy it now is $499. Hardly a $300 gun. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=368847036 $399 is the starting bid. Again, not a $300 gun. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369639121 A $319 gun that needs a complete refinish and new grips. Not a $300 gun in good condition, and certainly not a gun you could carry with pride in its current condition. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369817731 A $339 gun in very poor condition. Rust, significant finish wear and looks like someone used the ass end as a hammer. Again, not a $300 gun in good condition. I'm not trying to be a jerk but price point is one of the reasons I am interested in the Bauer. Reviews I've read are very favorable towards the Bauer's fit, finish and reliability. The $200 to $300 price for one in very good condition also makes it very attractive over the $500 to $900 price I've seen for comparable Baby Brownings. I appreciate the suggestion of the Baby Browning, but at this point (for the reasons stated) I'm just interested in the Bauer.
  19. I'd be interested in knowing where you are finding Baby Brownings in good condition for $300.
  20. I was looking to carry the Bauer as a backup to my backup. Every pistol I own (except my Buckmark) is a carry gun. I am not a fan of safe queens and I fear an original Baby Browning would become just that.
  21. I've been considering adding a Bauer 25 auto to my collection. Who has had experience with these pistols and what did you like and dislike about it. Also does anyone know of any shops around Nashville that have one in stock. I've only seen them for sale on Gun broker and would like to handle one before committing to purchase. Thanks in advance.
  22. I have the belt buckle holster for my .22lr and it is cool but a pain in the ass to deploy. I wouldn't rely on the belt buckle as my only backup carry. I also have the cross draw belt holster for my .22mag and carry it on my weak side. With a bit of practice I've learned to deploy it with decent speed using both my right or left hand. My favorite carry option for the NAA is using a modified Uncle Mike's in my back pocket. It resembles a wallet bulge from behind and BG's won't suspect it when they ask for your wallet.
  23. I carry a NAA .22mag in an uncle Mike's holster next to my wallet and have a .22lr in a belt buckle. Great guns.
  24. Mine is the trench sight. It draws easily from a super tuck or owb holster and is point and click. I tend to lean towards combat sights anyway and the trench is easy to a climate to.
