I got the LCP just for motorcycle rides but like it so much it stays with me all the time.
  2. Sat evening, just finished cleaning my newest deer rifle. This Mossberg is a great shooting gun. after a few shots to get use to te trigger and fine tune the scope I did a 3 shot group with all touching and 5/8 inch spread. went out to 200yrds and 3 shot about an inch spread. not bad for shelf ammo and the first time out.
  3. Good Evening Gents, I have a friend that is money trouble and wanting to sell me a Mossberg 308. I like the way the gun looks and plan on shooting it Saturday just wondering if anyone has any history with this model. Its topped with a BSA 8x32x40.
  4. OK ; my mind is about to melt, help me if ya can. Trying to build a needle threading load for a 270 wsm, here is what I know for sure. Im a fairly good shot and can hold sub 1.0 mao groups, 5 rounds of federal Power-Shok at both 100 and 200 yrds Ruger m77 magna ported aluminum pillared and glass beaded 2.385 AOL w/comp. Using Nosler 130gr ballistic tip with IMR 4350-Most reports says this is the best combination Max load 62.7 grns 4350 I have tried 60.0, 60.5, 61.0, 61.5, 62.0, 62.5 and the best I can do is 2in moa at 100yrds I also allow 1 min in between shots and 5min in between loads to let my gun cool NOT HAPPY I do not want to mess my gun up. $50 a box for stock loads is too much for me as much as I love to shoot. Now what I have heard,...... don't listen to the book it is conservative, load powder until it touches seated bullet measure the powder and start there working down...... that would be 63.9grns Which way should I go with my loads Any help would be AWESOME Thanks Gents In Advance

I have been saving my pennies and plan on buying a Springfield 1911 GI compact. only a couple dollars more then RAI and customer service that cant be beat.

    Ruger LCR - .357!!

If you decide to shoot 38's in a 357, make sure that you clean the cylinder VERY good after shooting. since the 38 is shorter you will get a ring inside the cylinder that will not allow you to put 357 back in, or if you get it in it will be very hard to get out. found this out the hard way on a pistol my father had, shot 38 to save money, never very good at cleaning his guns. BTW looked at the Ruger LCR at Austins yesterday,.,.,.,.,..,.,.VERY SWEET

  17. Hey; picked my annual up this week. They have a deal that if you buy a annual pass your spouse or minor child can buy one at half price. EVERY ONE needs to have a pass. The fine is $185 if cought up there without one, that goes for the person that let them in also. Plus you loose you rights to shoot there for a year. Hope this helps. bjb
  18. Its been way to long since I graced the squeaking gate at Norris. Last night My good friend and myself with our sons (both grown) Took advantage of a perfect evening and did some awesome shooting. At one time we 9 guns hot, the smell of gun powder just does something to man. Met a lot of new people some fellow TGO'rs, sorry I cant remember their names. At Norris its more like good friends shooting then just people shooting every time we go. Hope to be back this weekend. If you have not checked out the range at Norris you need to go by the Norris Police station , pick up a key and have a BLAST:D
  19. Not sure how many of you would see this so I put it on for ya. I hate to hear of anyone loosing their life, BUT I WILL NOT!!!!allow anyone to hurt my family if I can prevent it. One woman is dead and Hamblen County Sheriff's deputies are looking for two men who ran from the scene of an attempted home invasion at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. It happened on Rustic Circle in Morristown at the home of Scott and Penny Knight. Hamblen County Sheriff Esco Jarnagin said 29-year-old Holly Ann Repasky of Knoxville knocked on the Knights' front door overnight and indicated she was having car trouble. "Scott Knight was suspicious and grabbed a .22 pistol before answering the door," said Jarnagin. Jarnagin said when Scott answered the door, two men attempted to force their way into the home. When Scott Knight resisted, the men fired a gun through the door. "It was some kind of assault weapon based on the shell casings we found at the scene," said Jarnagin. "When Scott fired back, the female was caught in the crossfire and was struck in the throat or chest area." One of the bullets fired by Knight struck Repasky in a main artery, according to Jarnagin. Deputies found her dead in the street in front of the Knights' home. "Scott Knight is to be commended on a job well done in defending his family." said Jarnagin. "If he had not taken the action that he took, I'm sure that the family could have been harmed and seriously injured." Jarnagin said with all of the shots fired, the Knight family "amazingly" escaped any injuries. The .22 pistol used by Scott Knight was purchased as a Mother's Day gift this weekend for his wife, according to Jarnagin.
