  1. Yes you do! Especially considering most (if not all) of the research is already done for you. I spent weeks researching my family trying to figure out who was who!
  2. The wife and I are looking for a getaway later this year and want to go somewhere we've never been before. I'm sure Vegas is one of those places everyone should go at least once in their lives. I'm smart enough to realize that gambling and myself do not mix well, and I'm not really interested in the shows. What else is there to do??
  3. Yep. I'm in the Nathan Bedford Forrest Camp #215 as well. Haven't been to a meeting in quite some time with the wacky schedule I carry, but I retain my membership.
  4. I've owned a couple of them. I had a 9mm that functioned flawlessly and I kinda regret selling it. My father and I bought one each in .40 several years back (consecutive serial numbers). His worked flawless while mine had non-stop failures to feed and failures to extract. Needless to say, I got rid of mine, but he still has his and likes it. Even if certain ones work flawlessly, I wouldn't want to stake my life on one of them based on my experiences. But that's just me.
  5. The prohibition at certain meetings law ("properly posted") removes the HCP defense from 39-17-1308 (Defenses to unlawful possession of a weapon). However, 39-17-1308(a)(1) would still apply as a defense ("Of an unloaded rifle, shotgun or handgun not concealed on or about the person and the ammunition for the weapon was not in the immediate vicinity of the person or weapon"). Now the confusion would come in the form of the question; Does having the gun in a locked box in your luggage with ammo near it constitute 'concealed on or about your person and the ammunition not in the immediate vicinity of the person or weapon'? Many times, an LEO, a prosecutor or, (more importantly) a judge must use discretion and look at the intent of the law to determine whether or not a law was broken. Given all the federal laws governing transport of firearms, I'm willing to bet that nobody would ever say anything about a gun that was in your luggage and ready to be lawfully checked for a flight.
  6. By accepted, I assume you mean that you have your new C&R with your new address on it in hand?
  7. Oh, and thanks for the referral code, PackinMama!!
  8. I've been watching the mailbox a little too closely here lately. The kholster sale (which is over now) started on April 1st. I placed my order at 6am on April 1st and have found myself staring out the window looking for the mailman since the 8th or so. Can't wait to try it out!
  9. Thanks, but not quite what I was getting at. I wasn't curious HOW to do it, I was concerned with the requirement to inform them 30 days prior to the move. I'd imagine most folks don't know the address where they will be moving for a full 30 days prior to the move.
  10. I'm not familiar with the product, but I was relieved to see "Shipping and handling included". Says it ships UPS. You might just have one really unhappy UPS driver. The reviews don't look too bad other than one person complaining about there not being enough calories in it. Maybe add some M&M's to your stash??
  11. I'm definitely with you there. Way too many perks to the 45ACP round to wanna deal with the hard-to-find 45GAP ammo.
  12. OK, I see what y'all are saying now. The following is how the G30 and G26 compare: ...........G30 G26 Length 6.77" 6.29" Height 4.76" 4.17" The G30 is a good bit larger than the G26 "Subcompact". Thanks. Hadn't thought to compare the 30 to the other SC models.
  13. So, other than the Mattel thing, does anyone know WHY they don't make one??
  14. Funny stuff right there I just have to figure out which Glock .45 I want to add to my collection of Glocks. Might need to throw my current 1911 in the 'trading post'. Out of the 3 1911's I've owned (RIA, Kimber, SW1911), none of them can make me as happy as my least favorite Glock. And YES, it's a personal preference, so let's not get caught up in another shouting match.
  15. According to the specs on Glock's website, the 36 and 30 ar the exact same size except for width. Width on the 30 is 1.27" and on the 36 it's 1.13".
  16. Tried searching the threads, but couldn't find this topic. Why is there no compact (mid-size) Glock 45? Or 10mm for that matter, but I'm not a big 10mm guy, so I don't really care about that.
  17. +1 The sale at kholster.com ends tonight at midnight. But even after the price goes back up to $49, it's still a deal.
