  1. It wont be long now. Take a look at this thread. http://tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/5212-handgun-carry-permit-waiting-time.html
  2. It's good stuff. I've shot approximately 350 rounds of Federal thorough my XDSC .40 and I have 200 more on deck.
  3. Do you feel the holster works at 3, 4 and 5 o'clock? I am curious if the curve to the contour of the body is designed for 3 o'clock. Thx.
  4. Check carfax to make sure your not buying a salvage titled vehicle. You will need the VIN in advance and I would verify the VIN in person. Prepare to pay the tax on the sales price when you register the vehicle.
  5. Oops, that was an accident. Yeah right! Update: The problem was the pants. They were just to loose. Thanks for the photos db99wj. I haven't tried to tuck my carry weapon in yet, but yours was completely invisible in that last picture.
  6. (6) - I guess I have some work to do.
  7. This is my first holster so no alternate available to make the comparison. Let me add the jeans are a little large in the waist and since it feels like the pant is carrying more weight than they should I will start with a tighter pair. BTW: Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
  8. Same holster as on comp-tac site photo I am providing, but with the Velcro clips below. The Velcro clip goes over the waist band and locks onto the Velcro lining of the belt. The selling point is that you can't see clips on the belt with a tucked in shirt.
  9. Great question and thanks for asking. I have a 1 1/2" gun belt and MTAC IWB from comp-tac.com Here is the belt... I wonder if my issue is the Velcro clip style. The clip goes over the pant and the Velcro attaches to the inside of the belt. It seems more weight is on the pant than necessary. I was thinking a C clip on the belt itself my change things.
  10. Is it this way for anyone else? My HCP came in this week so I am spending time finding where my IWB holster feels best. My 21oz handgun feels like a boat anchor on my hip displacing my pant waistband two inches right of my waist. Is it something you just get used to? Is there a position that carries a IWB better? Right now 4-5 o'clock seems my best choice.
  11. I agree the short magazine provides less grip, but if this is a carry weapon it is a concealment bonus due to less printing. If this is a range gun I would not consider anything less than a full size.
  12. Worst day of the year to get in a Mexican resturaunt.
  13. I can't comment on your other gun choices, but I love my XD-SC .40
  14. 4/10 HCP Safety Class 4/12 DMV Application Submitted (Lunch Time) 4/12 Cogent Fingerprints @ G&L (Dinner Time) 5/4 HCP received (Happy Time) Including Weekends: 22 Days (Priceless)
  15. The only two dealers listed on their site are the Lebanon Gun Shop and Outpost Armory. My MTAC came last week and I was not disappointed. In fact I also ordered their belt. The jury is still out of the Velcro Clips. I may purchase some C Clips at some point. Here is another thread related to the MTAC http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearm-accessories/38233-minotaur-mtac-holster.html

    Gun City Problem

Gun City appears to be a member of the Better Business Bureau. That might give you another avenue for resolution.
  17. So when you attended the GNL class, pack some snacks just in case.
  18. Sorry to disappoint. Ffingers are larger than the keyboard. Type-0
  19. I was in that class. I was shooter #14 in range group #3. No lunch break for me just like Monkeylizard said, but I was gone for the day by 2:45. I arrived at 7:30 to sign-in/pay and was the 14th person to do so. Don't be afraid to show up early and bring a snack.
  20. Huh? I am routinely in contact with silhouette sized folks. () (JK, or am I?)
  21. The legal expert I was quoting was referencing Tennessee when making the statement. (No Flames)
  22. +1 There was a some belt discussion here... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearm-accessories/33036-looking-good-carry-belt.html
  23. The best part of this artcle is in the comments. I quote Haunted911: "You are allowed to have one on you as long as it's visible - without a permit." then closes with "Learn the laws people!"
