  1. I must admit I have never heard someone say an XDm trigger was too heavy for their liking. Sell and put the proceeds toward something else.

    RUGER LC9

The price matched Ruger's MSRP @ 443.00 The only LC9 I saw was located near the doors on a table to the left.

    RUGER LC9

Held the LC9 at the Bill Goodman show in Nashville. I thought the size and weight was fine. Ruger did a masterful job of copying the PF9. I personally did not like the grip. The grip was rough in texture and did not feel good in my medium sized hand. This was because the contour of it didn't match my finger placement. The loaded chamber indicator is HUGE. It was on my buy list, but now I don't think so.
  4. IMHO.. I have never shot a .380 pocket pistol that was fun at the range. Perhaps something 26 to 34oz and in 9mm next time. I would do this even if its a rented range gun. Not a jerk at all. I think it was the gun.

    Taurus Public Defender

You got me all bent (wrong). I was out looking at the Smith 2011 rebates and saw it. I have a PT92 and think its great.

It looks like Smith and Wesson is breaking into the market.
  7. I don't have a BUIS yet so I can't answer if it would fit under the magnifier when both are on the flat top. In this old photo I have the red dot on the quad rail with the magnifier pushed forward. In this configuration it most certainly will fit.
  8. I am no optics expert, but I think the clarity is great and I caught it on sale for 69.00 last month. The standard mount that comes with the magnifier lines up with the red dot. In this picture I have the red dot on the quad rail, but I managed to get both on the flat top.

  10. Thread from the dead, but I just got the 5X PA Magnifier to go with the PA M4 2MOA red dot. Here is a pic.
  11. @Hipower - The online research I have done suggests the dimensions (height, length, width) are similar to the XDSC. Is that a fair assessment?
  12. Thanks for your input. I am going to see if I can find a Rami locally. I don't expect I will find one that can be rented, but l will look for that too.
  13. I have an .40 XDSC and have fallen out of love with.40 caliber. I plan to standardize around the 9mm and the CZ 2075 Rami caught my eye. Does anyone have both the CZ 2075 Rami and XDSC in 9mm or .40? Would you mind sharing your thoughts on each? If someone has insight into only the Rami I want to hear from you too. I don't have a lot of info on this gun so love it or hate it I want to know.
  14. Since July I have purchase two handguns and an AR15. Never paid shipping. Only responsible for the trasfer fee to the FFL. I have never called them because I have never had to. My guns all arrived at FFL within 4 days. Sorry to hear of your troubles.
  15. I too am concerned the lack of rep points would be interpreted as ignorant.
  16. I am buying a red dot magnifier for my Primary Arms(PA) red dot. I have been looking at the PA 5X red dot magnifier, but wondered if I would be happier with the PA 3X "Deluxe" red dot magnifier with internal azimuth and elevation adjustments to center the dot. Is the internal azimuth and elevation adjustment worth the reduction in magnification?

  18. I appreciate everyone's comments. My father looked at the responses and purchased a 2 point sling.
  19. I need sling advice for a Mossberg 500 12g 18" tactical shotgun. This shotgun has a pistol grip and no stock. My father is a farmer and alone when checking the crops during cold winter nights. He wants to have his hands free as much as possible. What type of sling does he want? A 1-point, 2-point or something else. Can someone provide some good options with links? Is it true if the sling doesn't have swivels included they will need to be purchased? Thanks in advance as I am shotgun challenged.
  20. +1 for the Primary Arms M4 2MOA red dot. I purchased it Friday November 12th and it arrived in two postal service delivery days. Last week I searched the forum and this thread convinced me to purchase it. So, Thanks... I am very happy with it.
  21. Do Quad Rails that fit a 16in notched M4 barrel also fit a 16in heavy barrel? Do I limit my rail options by purchasing heavy?
  22. I don't have experience with Monarch .223 FMJ, but for 3.99 per 20 count box I am giving it a go. Regular price is 5.99 according to the Academy Sports insert in this weekend's paper.
  23. I work hard for the cash I choose to spend and that matters to me. I am sure many of you feel the same way. When it’s time to purchase, I already know what I want and what shopping online will cost me (Price/Shipping/Transfer/TIC). I research the best local price (multiple shops) and compare it to the best online price. Some may consider that window shopping. I consider it good consumer research. I do not go to a shop without the possibility I could make a local purchase, but I am not going to throw money away either. This subject tends to devolve into Online = Bad and Local = Good. I honestly don’t feel it’s my role to keep anyone in business. A good business model will do that for themselves. I understand that local shops are already behind the 8-ball due to the tax issues and I take that into consideration. This is me and I will not question anyone choice to buy local or online. As of today I have 1 local purchase and 2 online purchases.
