  1. There is a solid market for this size single stack pistol. I can't imagine why Glock hasn't pulled a Ruger and manufactured one.
  2. No buzz words like "Fit and Finish". Just the facts. Today I took the CM9 to Stones River with only one goal. Put 200 rounds FMJ down range and break the pistol in. Using one six round magazine I put 150 rounds down range in an hour and fifteen minutes. Let me tell you the slide was hot to the touch. To be honest I probably should have given the CM9 a rest, but I wanted this pistol ready for carry come Sunday. I've heard people talk about a good trigger, but never understood what makes a good trigger until today. It was very smooth as if it was gliding. I must report one failure to feed at approximately round 180 loading the second round of a fresh magazine. Honestly after you have loaded 170+ rounds I could have just gotten careless and didn’t seat the round properly. I honestly don’t know. I cleared the jam and finished the 200 FMJ without issue. I also ran a box of 9mm Winchester PDX1 +P without issue. Never shot a PM9 so I can’t make the comparison. I can only say that I like this gun. That’s my experience. No BS to make it sounds better than it really is.
  3. Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I think the TICS unit are state employees. I would think they will be at work come monday.
  4. You got it. Looks like Saturday is my first range opportunity.
  5. How timely of them. Mine is supposed to be delivered to the Goodlettsville Gun Shop this afternoon. Come on UPS!

    Gun Test on Ruger LC9

The Ruger site confirms the LC9 weight as 17.1 ounces. There is a difference in the PF9's weight stated in the article vs. the KelTec website. The KelTec site states the PF9 is 12.7 ounces unloaded. I have to assume the magazine is inserted, but I can't confirm because I dont own either of these guns. If 17.1 and 12.7 is an apples to apples comparision the LC9 weighs about 25% more. As a percentage that is significant.

  8. Every once in a while the banner ad for USA Ammo displays. I purchased 1000 rounds of reloaded 9mm last month. I havent been to the range, but the prices are great.
  9. Details? Details? Lowest I can find in Nashville except the shop offering the TGO discount is $20 before TICS.
  10. I agree, but he sounds like he wants to make amends for the prior visit. Its a place to start.

    Kahr CM9

The CM9 was released today. I placed my order and hope it arrives in time to get it to Stones River this weekend. Range report to follow.
  12. I have seen them for $300 NIB. Built like a tank maybe an understatement
  13. Thanks eveyone. I sent them a link to this thread.
  14. I had plans to be #500,000. Makes me feel a little better it went to a TGO member. Congratulations.
  15. My friend is taking a job in Memphis. What area should his family move to? Any thoughts about Germantown, Collierville and Olive Branch MS? If you were new to the Memphis area and know what you know now where would you live and why? They are in their early 40s with two girls of high school age.

    What to do?

I would add the Kahr CM9 to your evaluation. It's new so that could possibly be considered a negative. It begins shipping on 3/21/2011. According to Kahr's website it is the extact dimensions of the PM9 for 2/3 the price.

    Kahr CM9

How did I miss this? To think I almost bought a PM9.

    Kahr CM9

No, it's not a type-o. I was on Kahr's website and saw the Kahr CM9 starts shipping March 21, 2011. It appears to be the same dimensions as the PM9 using parts that could be considered lesser quality. Kahr Products, Renagade Ankle Holsters, Pistols, Parts, Accessories, Kahr Wear The CM9 "MSRP" is $565.00, a full $221.00 less than the PM9. Its only $20.00 more than the CW9.
  19. Double Star HBAR owner since 10/2010. Nothing to fear, but I would keep her clean. Had an experience at the range when the DS wouldn't eject the spent cartridge. This was after shooting lacquered steel ammo two weeks prior without a cleaning. I cleaned the rifle real good and no more issues. I hope it was a fluke.
  20. I have enjoyed all my purchases, one being the M4 clone. Was this within the 12 month guarantee? To echo this... I bought the M4 clone in December; "thought" it was not functioning properly. The replacement arrived along with a prepaid shipping label. Truth be known there was nothing wrong with the original. I didn't read the instructions
  21. Interesting... It's not there.

    How to Buy Online

When I purchase handguns online I use Buds www.budsgunshop.com They have a list of FFL's that have agreed to take transfers. I pick the FFL from a pick-list, but always confirm the FFL will accept the transfer. I have no experience with gunbroker.
