  1. Well, I just got back from the range.  It took me a couple shots to realize to cover up the target with the big green diamond.  Man, that diamond really jumps out at you.  I let a couple of the range guys at Nashville Armory look at them.  I think they're a keeper for me.  I'm not a great shooter, but this is 5 shots at 8 yards.

  2. Well, if you want to see them up close, shoot me a PM and maybe we can meet at a range.  I'm always looking for a reason to go, and good shooting tips too.  I'm going to try and go to Nashville Armory tomorrow.  Let me know if you're in the area.  It's too dang hot to go outside.

  3. I got a set of these installed and thought I'd post a cell phone picture of the result.  The front diamond really stands out when taking aim.  I look forward to trying these tomorrow.

  4. Evaporator (inside) or condenser (outside) coils?  I would be surprised to have that much junk in the evaporator coils unless you didn't have a filter on your unit.  I don't work on HVAC units, so that my opinion for whatever it's worth.  Most of the new evaporator coils are treated to prevent mold growth though.

  5. Let's not all Muslims are radical. Most are not. Nashville is home to the largest population of Kurds in the U.S. Don't think we have any problem with them.

Them ask those peaceful Muslims if a person should die that draws an unflattering cartoon of Mohammad.  I bet you'll see they aren't so peaceful after all.

  6. Haven't seen these before. I think I might like them. I'll have to see a set on a pistol before buying though.

I'll shoot you a PM if you want to try them out once I get them back.

  7. The Dan Wesson Heritage was at the top of my budget when I was looking.  I noticed a lot of posts at 1911forum.com with complaints on galling of their new pistols.  I know it's probably too late, but I'd still check that forum.  Lots of good info there.  Good luck with your new pistol, I'm sure it'll be a great 1911.

  8. If you plan on shooting, then Nashville Armory is the place to go because they're close to you.  I don't visit too many gun stores (I have an addiction you see), but G&L in Greenbriar has one of the larger selections and very reasonably priced.

  9. Like others have stated--GO TO AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST!!!  Make an appointment and find out if there is anything wrong with your eyes.  Is it worth possibly losing your eyesight or the quality of vision you already have?  It could be due to a variety of factors, but you need to get to an ophthalmologist pronto.

  10. Meh, the old grey mare, she ain't what she used to be.

Worn out tooling used by lazy worthless people who don't care about what they make. Screw 'em. Samuel Colt would vomit at the sight of what they've done to his name. I will say the same thing I said about GM. Let them die. I can GAURANTEE you someone will be happy to fill the void.

What do you bet, Fabrique Nationale would be happy to fill those government contracts??? Our troops already use a lot of FN stuff.

As far as using worn out tooling, that's not true.  The 1911s Colt is now producing are all CNC machined.  They're pretty nice too.  Lots of issues with Colt, but building poor quality firearms isn't quite true anymore, at least not the ones I've seen.

  11. I've had several wrecks with uninsured motorists. Not all insurance companies will make you pay your deductible IF you have the other driver's information. I would highly recommend contacting an attorney and putting his arse UNDER the jail. Good luck and I hope you didn't get seriously hurt.
  12. I am not a Glock owner, but I have found all striker fired pistols seem to have a lot longer trigger pull than hammer pistols. I have XD pistols and constantly have to mentally slow down with my first mag to shoot it well. Just keep practicing and slow down your trigger pull.
  13. Yep.

Man... 28k miles and these tires are shot.  They're total crap!  I'm never buying them again!  Did you get the alignment checked?  No.  Do you check the air pressure monthly?  No.  Do you get them rotated?  No.   Gee... I can't imagine why they wore out so fast...   :shake:

I put 93,000 miles on a set of Goodyears on a Ford Ranger, and never rotated the tires.  I had a belt separate and ruined a tire, so I bought 4 new tires.  That was an experiment by me.  The one and only time.
