  1. Check the Rock Island Armory site and look for Pro Match. I believe it" #51434.

There's a 5 and 6 inch model available. Would prefer the 6, but the 5 was on the GB auction.

Sorry, I was kind of confused. I thought you said you got a 9mm Pro Match. Rock Island doesn't list one of those on their website, that's why I was asking for a model number.
  2. Are you speaking of the 22TCM package? I'm not familiar with a 22 lr kit, but with all their new offerrings; there may well be one.

I just ordered one from GB that you'll like. I'll send you a pic when it arrives. The Pro Match 9mm 1911.

Would you happen to have the model number?  I've looked at several RIAs, but can't decide on a particular model.  I like the 22 TCM in theory, but I don't reload and I'm afraid it would be difficult to purchase locally.

  3. Ok, I'm a little dense this morning and need some help. What is the 1911 GM? Sure it's something I should know, but just not putting it together.

    Government Model perhaps???

  4. So when is the best time to seed something?  Or does it depend on the type of grass?

Sorry for the silly questions but I've never done anything other than maintenance kinda work on the yard.

Does this area receive full sun during the summer?  If so, I'd go with Bermuda of some variety.  If it's shaded, you could try fescue or Kentucky bluegrass.  Fescue is best started in the fall, but if in full sun in the summer, must be watered like crazy or it will die.

  5. My 1911 is a Rock Island Armory 9mm. Full size and the tactical version that has better sights. Very nice gun, accurate, easy and cheap to shoot.

Oh the RIA are definitely on my list of wants.  The new Ultra models are sweet.

  6. Reading One Second After really opened my eyes to all this.

Hunting season would be all year long. Various waves of death. Most wouldn't survive in the first year.

I'd probably load up my guns and ammo and trek south to the coast where my family and fishing is.

Unless you have an old car (no computer) you wouldn't make it unless you walked or rode a horse.

  7. Nice pistol, now go throw some 230 grain bullets down range.  Just try and keep the smile of your face.  You can use a small screwdriver or guitar pick to press in the plunger to make it easier to put in the slide stop.

  8. Too much energy costs to make it a sound investment before it's do or die.

So while the governments of these states wrestle with how to get water, their people suffer.  It would be far cheaper to go ahead and build these plants now instead of waiting another 20-30 years when the cost will go up 5-10 times of today's price.  Meanwhile, California keeps removing dams so snail darters can flourish.

  9.  Atlanta is in the same pickle, except the ocean is a tad further away.

People in Georgia keep saying their northern border is wrong by a mile.  This would give them access to the Tennessee River.  I don't understand why states that border the ocean don't build desalinization plants if they're that strapped for fresh water.
