It doesn't Shake and Bake like CA. It is more Free then NY. It does not have nearly as many[i] [/i]tornadoes as many other places. No Hurricanes. Currently like in a small city, but I can get back to the mountains any time I want. All in All, TN is a pretty stable place to live.

As i understand, that is why they double boil it, to cook out any of the natural toxins, but I guess it cooks out anything that would be good as well.

I am surprised no one had said this. Polk, Growing up and I remember going out and picking Polk. I believe it has to be picked some in the spring time before it gets berries. It does have to be cooked (twice I believe). Most people I know made it into polk salad. Although I have had the leaves fried once(not sure how they prepared it.) I haven't had it since I was a kid, and last summer I wanted to try it again but I had waited to late in the year to pick it. However I just found out my aunt has some in the freeze and is going to fix some next time I get to go home for my wife and I. My wife has never tried it. Probably not a good survival food as I understand there is allot of work to get it ready to eat. I know she double cooks it. Also I have always been told the berries are poison I don't know.

We are in Open in Enrollment and the plans they are offering are twice as much as last year and cover less with a massive deducible. Ask me if I am better now then 4 or more years ago. Do to the cost of living my higher paying job does not cover as much as 8 an hour did back in 97, 98, 99, right up to 2004. Mainly do to higher gas prices.

It appears Most republicans try to avoid living in high population centers. They win tons of area, but lower on population areas and electoral votes. A lot of the wide open plains. I understand why they avoid NY and places like that.
