It just seems highly selective what "rights" people are and are not allowed to exercise in a "private" business.

Reading over the discussions about the parking lot bills and various other threads about posted locations got me to thinking. I understand the concept of a private business having rights but do we have private business anymore ? If we do then we can have black only and white only lunch counters, we can have a restaraunt that is only one big smoking section, hell we could have child porn playing on the tv in a bar. Otherwise these are not private business and our 2nd ammendment rights should not be trampled on.

I think you meant to say unless they start recognizing the 2nd ammendment of the US Constitution.

I have killed a few with my regular carry 40 handguns. If they are within normal bow range a 40 duty pistol is just fine for deer hunting.

Exactly ! I also believe that anyone that has been released from jail should have their 2nd ammendment rights intact. The state has said that they are in control of punsihment for crimes. When they let a person out they are saying to us this person has paid for his crime and is now ready to go back into society. If they are letting someone out and telling us they can't have a gun then they are telling us that the person is dangerous. WHY would you put a dangerous person back on the streets ?

Any crime serious enough to take away a person's right to carry a gun should also carry the death penalty.
