I'm sure this has been discussed but I cannot find the subject by searching. I cannot carry at work and am starting to think about leaving my gun in my car. (Which now makes me worry about car theft, but that's another subject.) As you know, at this time of year, the temp can get well over 100 in a closed car during the day. So my question is how hot is too hot for my ammo?

I have absolutely never purchased any food from their, um...deli. And never will. I just asked because some guys had talked about that as part of the HCP/Wal-Mart ritual. If so, I won't partake. Some guys are like puppy dogs, which will eat (or try to eat) just about anything.

I like perusing this show because they do usually have a bunch of tables but $10 is just too expensive...

But it happened so fast. Would anyone be able to even get to their gun in time to defend themselves?

I am not familiar with them so have no opinion. Just keep thinking about the prize at the end and have fun. Yes, even watching the exciting videos. Btw, I took mine at CIS and it was a breeze. I had prior experience shooting as most in the class did, but there were a couple that had never held a gun, much less fired one and Todd and Justin were very, very patient. Even loaning one of their own revolvers to a beginner that had brought an automatic that they couldn't use (don't remember why). I would recommend CIS to anyone, whether beginners or experienced shooters. (And no, I am not being paid to do so. )

Well, if someone wants to learn and have no family or friends to teach them, where are they supposed to go if not in a class? They have to start somewhere and after class, hopefully, they will be more relaxed and practice at a range often (as we all should).

I finally received my HCP yesterday. And it did take ~90 days which seems to be the going wait in Davidson county. Okay, now Walmart... I think I have enough 45 target rounds but really do need some defensive rounds and some 9mm target. Btw, are their nachos really any good?

I had a PT111 Millennium and liked shooting it very much, but it wasn't a "pro" model I don't think. The one I had was easy to strip and clean but the absolute devil to put back together.

I usually read forums on the weekends and then only contribute sometimes. I am, however, getting ready for the roofing contractor, who will start replacing my roof tomorrow (Monday). I'm glad to get it done but I'm sad because of all that money that could be used for more fun or needy things. :-\

Thank you!! It drives me crazy when folks use the wrong word over and over. I know I've done it myself but for the most part I'm so anal-retentive it becomes very distracting when trying to read some folks' posts. Unfortunately, spell-check doesn't help with this problem.

Wow, y'all sure do jump around with the subjects in this thread. Might I suggest starting a new thread with each new subject? It might attract more folks to specific subjects/threads. I'm just saying...

It's been ~eight weeks for me. I do well with forgetting about it then I think, what if it's stuck in processing somewhere and I need to call to straighten it out?

Absolutely!

Paying higher prices for ammo will cut into my grocery money so paying more for ammo will take food off my table. I don't/won't use Wolf and Wal-Mart ammo has never failed me in any caliber.
