    ARvsAK

Oh yeah.... AKs don't care about your grammar. Yes, t takes less time to clean an AK. However, that does not mean it is not pristine after cleaning. The AK doesn't crap in it's own mouth, and does not have all the little bit's that have to be taken down, cleaned and inspected.

    ARvsAK

For me, the AK is more fun with less trouble. I shoot as many rounds as I want, then clean it in all of 5 minutes. As to where the AR, well, more like half, to an hour of cleaning. I have a WASR, which lots of folks don't like, but mine shoots real good and they only run $400-500. If you are picky, you can find good ones. Saiga AK variants are sweet rifles for the price and are available in all of the popular rounds. They are very easy to convert as well. Both are fun though.
  3. And just think there were only 40k new laws that went into effect on the 1st. We are all criminals waiting to be caught. lol
  4. What is funny/sad, is I have just talked 2 FFLs who said it was legal for me to sell a long gun to a GA resident.
  5. Can I sell a long gun FTF to a resident of GA?
  6. Perhaps I will contact them. Their customer service is great. I bought this gun used from a fellow TGOr and had a problem, sent it in and they fixed it and shipped it back free of charge. How many companies will warranty a used gun? That tells me they want folks happy with their products.
  7. I am not sure where the accuracy comment comes from. My pf9 is as accurate as my g22 at 25 yds. I just want to minimize the trigger slap.
  8. Thanks again guys. The customer service is too good for me to give it up. I have not found a better pocket 9 that feels good in my hand and is that small. I know it's not a range gun, but most guns can stand some customization to make them into better shooters.
  9. Thanks for the info. I probably have close to 300, so I will stick out another 300 and see if it smooths out on it's own. I can only shoot 4-5 mags before I don't want to shoot it anymore.
  10. Have you used him or do you know someone who did?

    pf9 trigger

Does anyone know of someone in East TN who can beat my trigger into submission? Seriously, is there anyone between Chattanooga and Knoxville that can make my Kel Tec pf9 fun to shoot? It's real accurate for such a short gun.
  12. This is an awesome story. Thanks for sharing. No reason for you to feel bad. You helped him and he helped you. Win/Win.

    Ak-47 input

These have gone up $150 in the last month? K-VAR Corporation :: Rifles & Shotguns :: SGL21 Series – 7.62x39 Caliber Russian Stamped Receiver AK-47 Variant Rifles :: SGL21-61
  14. I can speak to Kel-Tec's service.... I have a PF9 I picked up used that quickly developed an issue with the ejector pin walking out and locking the hammer. I payed for overnight shipping to them and about 3 weeks later I got it back with a new frame, grip, internal parts and polished feed ramp. The only cost for me was the overnight shipping there. I think that is excellent service, especially considering it was used.
  15. Seems strange. I decided to call and check and low and behold, I was informed it will be issued today...
  16. Once upon a time a man appeared in a village and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each. The villagers, seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10 and, as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort. He next announced that he would now buy monkeys at $20 each. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer increased to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so scarce it was an effort to even find a monkey, let alone catch it! The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50 each! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would buy on his behalf. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: 'Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has already collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each.' The villagers rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys. They never saw the man or his assistant again, only lots and lots of monkeys!
  17. While we fret about 400k they used to party, which while immoral was not illegal, they get away with billions in fraud. Why is no one asking where the billions in bonus and insider trading of stock have gone? Economics is a zero sum game. The money did not disappear, it went into someones pocket. I seem to recall an artucle in June about UBS hidding billions for US citizens. Can't find it now, but here is a recent one: http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUSL248799020081002?pageNumber=1&virtualBrandChannel=0
  18. If someone already owned an ak, then ordered this kit, as soon as the kit entered their possession, they would be in violation, correct?
  19. On further thought, I think it was if you owned a semi-auto version of the gun for which you have auto parts, weather assembled or not, it unlawful. So, I guess you can own the kit with the machine gun parts as long as you don't assemble it to a receiver or already own one that is assembled in addition to said parts.
  20. I can't find it now, but I thought i read that just having the parts as considered having the machine gun. It was something telling folks to check their american conversions to make sure none of the illegal parts were left by mistake, such as the non auto trigger group.
  21. Am I missing something here? Wouldn't this kit be NFA since it has machine gun parts? http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=111178552 "*A FEW LEFT !! GREAT PRICE !! AR-15 to 6.8

Ouch. my pocket hurts just thinking about it.
  23. Curious, why would you not just pick up an AK for about half the price of an AR upper if you want 7.62?
