  5. YEah, PA used to be pretty light when I got mine, it was a County Sheriff process with a limited background check, 3 references, and a one hour visit with a local deputy.
  6. Back in 2007, when I tried to get a PA HCP carried over, the website indicated it was a renewal but the Dept wanted me to through a new application. After a new application and class, I have mine. Won't ever let it expire!
  7. Read today about this speech by the Lt Governor: The Lieutenant Governor also made an impassioned statement supporting the rights of Tennesseans with permits to carry a weapon to be able to carry the weapon – in a locked car – onto an employer’s private parking lot. He acknowledged business owner concerns with private property rights and liability but felt that the right to carry the weapon was paramount and that the other issues “could be addressed.” Bill
  8. I have a sigma 9mm and got used to it. Reliable and able to do the job. Not a target pistol however. Either one woudl be fine just pick the one that best fits. The 9mm woudl be easier for the misses to shoot.

  23. Saw this recently but not sure what it means. Legislative Leaders Commit to Business Friendly Compromise to Guns in Parking Lots This week the House Judiciary Committee passed a proposal, HB 2021 by Rep. Josh Evans (R-Greenbrier) that as amended will allow for civil immunity for any employer who chooses to allow guns onto their parking lots. The bill will still allow for the property rights of business to maintain a posting but is designed to encourage businesses to allow workers to leave weapons in locked cars in company parking lots. The Business community appreciates the work of House and Senate members especially Rep. Josh Evans to ensure that the bill will not be compromised to take away private property rights. We encourage you to contact members and thank them for their support of private property rights. Recently, our business members have brought to our attention publications by many research organizations including the Cato Institute noting the relationship between our Constitution and the protections this crucial document provides for property rights.
