  1. Yeah,I guess people think the pre safetys are worth a little more. Jeff
  2. Gonna buy a Rossi M92 357/38 lever action rifle.I can get a new one for $460 OTD,or have found some used ones for $450 to $500.Which one would be a better rifle one with or without safety? The used ones I've found don't have the safety, but are usually higher price. One with the safety is fine with me.Is there any other advantages to the older presafety rifles? Thanks Jeff
  3. Just checking to see if other people had this problem,or if it was my dies,They are RCBS,but I've had the problem on all calibers. Thanks Jeff
  4. I was loading some .223 ammo today, the overall length would vary a few thousands on some.Maybe .005 on some.I've had this happen on different calibers before.Anybody else have this happen? Thanks Jeff
  5. I found a Rossi M92 357/38 a few months back LNIB for $375.It shoots and functions great.I got a lot of 38's loaded with 158 grain SWC that's fun to shoot. Jeff
  6. I have IMR 4895,4320 and BLC2,Varget,AA 2230,2420.He has some more different brands.I was going to buy some tracers from him to try myself.May try the 4895 then. Thanks Jeff
  7. Yeah, that's what I was wanting to know if one powder was better than another just for tracers. My friend said he loaded some 30 cal. tracers before and they wouldn't light up.He didn't know if it was the bullets or not the right powder for them.I use 2230,and IMR 4895 mostly for my .223's. Jeff
  8. How about BLC2,IMR4895,AA2230?We would like to use powder we already have. Thanks Jeff
  9. A friend of mine bought some 22 cal. 62 or 64 gr.pulled tracer bullets to load for .223's.He wanted to know what was the best powder to load them with?He didn't know if there was a certain powder that would "light" them up better or not. Thanks Jeff
  10. AimSurlpus has the best price on .223 that I've found.1000 rds. of PMC Bronze $331.77 shipped to me. Jeff
  11. I got some BLC2 ,loaded a few rds. of .223 with 62's and 69's with 26 grains.I hadn't got to try them yet but will. Jeff
  12. So Hodgdon BLC2 is the same?I may pick up a 1 lb. can of that and try it.I been buying some bullets and some powder at Outpost Armory. They are resonable on their reloading stuff I think ,but way too high on their guns and ammo. That's about the closest place to me that sales reloading supplys.I work down that way anyway so it's on the way. Thanks for everyone's input. Thanks Jeff
  13. I understand that, but I don't want to buy 8lbs. of powder that i've never tried. How much is a pound? Is this a common powder that I could find anywhere that carries powder? Jeff
  14. Bushmaster AR,and Savage Model 10 Precision Carbine.Both 1-9 twist.I got some 62 gr."green tip",64 gr.Game King Sierra,and 69 gr. Match King Sierra bullets.Powder I have IMR 4895,4320,Varget,Win 748,Accurate 2520,2230,2460.My Savage likes Nosler 50 gr. ballistic tips with 26grs. of A 2230. That shoots ok out of the AR too.Anybody use any IMR3031? Thanks Jeff
  15. What's a accuate powder load for .223 using 62 and 69 gr. bullets? What kind of powder? Thanks Jeff
  16. I guess Ill stick to my vibrator/tumbler.Sounds too time consuming to dry the cases. Thanks Jeff
  17. Sounds like they are to good to be true.Thought they would be a faster way to clean primer pockets, and clean really tarnished brass. Thanks Jeff
  18. If you have one ,how do you like it?I looked at on yesterday and they sound like they would clean better and quicker.I looked at a Lyman and Hornady ,they said id would clean brass in 10 minutes, primer pockets and inside the case.I see Frankford Arsenal has one for about half the price of the others in Midway.I have a Frankford Arsenal vibrator case cleaner I've had for several years and have had alot of trouble with the connectors coming off of the wires(about 4 times.)Let me know if these work good or not. Thanks Jeff
  19. Your not shooting Polish ammo are you? They have hard primers, sometimes have to snap a couple of times on a round. Jeff
  20. If you want a accurate and dependable 22 auto pistol that will last 2 or 3 lifetimes, get a Ruger MK II. Jeff
