  4. Show is near the Harley Davidson dealer on Larmar Alexander parkway (hwy 321) At the Guard armory. I think its tomorrow as well. I went last year with a few friends and met others coming out. We all agreed it was the worst show ever. They would not even let you sell guns outside the door.
  5. Great day today. The wife and I got through the dmv in a few short hours this morning and then it was off to Gunny's. No problems and now its just a wiating game. Now the next step is going for the c&r ffl.
  6. Ok cool, I do appreciate the info. The wife and I passed todays hcp class as I expected we would. She had all the questions and one was asking the same as what my thread is all about. She got the same answers there too. I guess I will take some time off work monday and head to the dmv first thing in the morning and take it from there. I just pray they dont send me to gunny's. There is not one friendly face in there. Thank you all again and have a great day.
  7. Just a quick question. Im in Maryville (blount County). Any of the members here that live in the area know if you fill out your application and get finger printed for the HCP at the local DMV or do they send you to the Justice center for fingerprints? The wife and I are going to Farnsworth in the morning for HCP class and I would like to get through the paper work asap at the DMV. Any info would be great.
  8. I for one would actually like to see this one through. I agree Im still new here and have seen the posts about cc vs oc but with no actual proof just opinions. I would like to see what turns up.
  9. Its been a while since I have used the old wood stove, but have burned just pine for years 24/7 during the winter and never had any problems. The trick is to be sure it is dry. I will let my pine dry for 2 seasons before burning.

  13. PM me with contact info, maybe we can hookup this weekend or next. When I joined the range I was told " you could shoot anything". As far as length,I think its about 150 feet. This Saturday, weather pending, I may be going bigfoot hunting in coker creek but if not I should be available.
  14. buttonhook, Have you shot a mosin yet? If not Im in Maryville as well and I'll let you check mine out. Have access to 24-7 outdoor range in town.
  15. Interesting meeting. This is the first kind of meeting I have ever been to. I fully enjoyed the speaker and found his information usefull. If welcomed, I would most certainly like to attend a few more up coming meetings.
  16. Heard back from Winchester today. They do not have a owners manual or any other information that would do me any good. They suggested a museum out west, but im thinking of now just ordering one off gunbroker or ebay. Thanks for all the tips.
  17. Ok Greg I'll give it a go.. Sounds like a great idea. I'll post when I know more.
  18. Thanks Greg for the reply, but I was looking for a freebe. I found all the other manuals either on MFG websites or others have posted copies to download. I do appreciate the effort though.
  19. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has a pdf file or where I can find a downloadable file for the owners manual for a Winchester model 74. I have been looking for several months now and have not had any luck. I found manuals for everything else I have, but Im stuck on this one. The 74 is an early one, shoots .22 short only.
  20. Unless I missed it, what was the year make and model of your vehicle? Have you recently checked the weather stripping around the doors and windows, trunk lid? If all weather stripping is intact is it dried out? If dried out lube it up with some silicone spray and a rag. Spray is available at any auto parts store.
  21. To me it really dont matter much as to what you want to do with the posting points as I have not paid any attention to them since I joined the forum. What drew me to join was the good information here, which I only take as the opinions of others. I then take what I think is good intel and do more research on what I find here on the TGO forum. Its just my opinion to leave things alone as I already like what I see. Thanks.
  22. Hi, I have been looking at all the great information on the forums for a while now and I finally decided to sign up.
