1. I am so tickled to have so many replies, but wanted to add that I have never reloaded, so I am a newbie and do not mind being treated as one :)
2. Through some trading this for that and that for more this I have acquired a lee single stage c-frame press. Although I have heard they are not the best for reloading, I did get a very fair deal on it.  I know I will need brass, bullets, primers and powder (although i need to know what kind) and I'm searching for a reloading manual, but at the bare minimum what else do I need to start reloading .223, .40 and .38spl?
3. Couldn't agree more. I gave a little over that for my SIG. I wonder if he/she would trade me even?
4. I have at times found decent deals and have always been fair in my pricing when listing, but with the times as they are I have to agree somewhat with being a waste of time. I have noticed a SHARP increase in everything just saw a Hi Point .380 for $400 and a Ruger LCP for $500. I would seriously hate to be an uneducated buyer right now.
5. I cruise armslist for deals just as I do here very often. Wife says it's an addiction, but really I don't have a problem :) In one of my daily cruisings I have noticed a few Ruger 10/22's for sale, nothing special just the same little blued carbine you get at your local Walmart for $217 +/- The ones I have seen on armslist are very reasonably priced at 350-400 bucks. What is the panic on these that have driven the prices up? Am I missing something?
6. Just in case some others out there are like me and wondered how to ship ammunition. Well the best I can figure is UPS is the only way and the rules are as follows:   1. Must go through a "customer service desk" and not a UPS Store 2. Must be smaller than .50 cal and/or 8ga shot shell 3. Must be labeled ORM-D Cartridges Small Arms 4. Must be shipped ground to the 48 contiguous states  5. Must be shipped requiring an adult 21 years of age or older signature 6. Must be less than 66lbs   Just thought it would be some helpful information
7. I may be way off here, but I grew up with guns and my dad thought me to respect the guns and to respect his wishes about them as well as anything else. He never locked the guns up at all. Dad never kept them loaded, but I knew exactly where the ammo was and how to load the guns.  I am under the thinking that if you teach a child to respect the weapon, take them out and show the kids what the gun can do and the damage it can create then it will take the "curiosity" out of it all together. When my kids were very young, up till about 6-7yrs old I kept my guns in a locked cabinet. Once they were old enough to comprehend the proper and safe functioning of the weapons I have allowed them to either shoot, if age/size appropriate or watch me shoot each of my guns, teach them how to load, shoot, unload, clean and properly store the guns. In doing so I feel I have taken the "wow, look what I found!" curiousness out of it. I keep all but one of my guns in a safe, but have my sidearm on the end table while awake or on my chest of drawers while asleep. If any of my children's friends come over I show and tell about the gun, but then keep it on my side as I'm not sure what their parents have thought them. I did this with all the cleaners, chemicals, etc as well and never put cabinet locks on the doors. I have never had any of my 3 kids, shoot, shoot someone, or poison themselves yet.
8. Does anyone know whether or not other brand .40cal mags will fit my SP2022. I have found the magazines are very hard to come by and are more expensive that current AR Mag prices!  :stunned:
9. I really do not believe I could support it. It only seems to end private sales between private citizens and just like the many laws/regulations/mandates in force now, the criminal element isn't going to respect any new laws. If you feel the gun may be stolen call your local PD or SD and have them run the S# if you think the person is not allowed to legally purchase the firearm, go to a local FFL and transfer it. Either way a person buying/selling shouldn't have any issue with it unless he/she can't legally purchase one. IMO any "crook" would most likely not want to pay/sell at fair market value anyway, throwing up a red flag (to me anyways).
10. I have a guy that has been in it for a couple of years and is willing to teach me "hands-on" but have figured on getting the books as well. Thanks!
11. I have been interested in reloading for a long time, with recent events I have become even more interested. My questions for you that have been in it awhile is: 1. is it economically feasible to spend unknown amount of money to reload .223, .40, .38spl, 30-06? 2) is it very hard to learn 3) what are some of the pros/cons of the "cheap" single stage loading kits 4) What all equipment do I need to be a "hobbyist" reloader and last but not least 5) What would should I be looking for to get the most bang out of my buck so to speak?
12. I was in the Sevierville Walmart and overheard the sporting goods guy tell a customer he has "bookoos" order just doesn't know when he will receive it.
13. Wow! Just got a phone call from wolverine technologies. They said that the mags will be in by this Friday and the reason I had an email saying "shipped" was because they have the box labeled and ready to go as soon as they get the mags. Seems like good customer service to me, I like it!
14.  I have as well and seems everyone on here as been a stand up person! Thanks for all the owners/mods do to keep this a great site!
15. I have that same optimism, so I hope I don't feel really stupid for waiting to make purchases :)
16. I want to start out by stating, I believe in a free market, capitalism and everyone making money, it's the American way, but for the life of me I can not understand all this "price gouging". I just seen "russian" 7.62x39 ( I can only assume is Tulammo or wolf) and as the ad stated, silver bear HP on armslist, all for the low-low price of $1.00 per round. 30rd AR mags that would normally be 15-20 bucks now $35-$75. I really do understand the demand is high right now and the supply is low, but come on do you really need to increase the prices by over 100%? Of course this is not written to change anything, just me getting it off my chest so I don't scream it in the streets.      PS: This is in no way directed to anyone of my fellow TGO'ers
17. http://www.wolverinetechnologiesllc.com/   I have never heard of this company, but at $15 shipped I thought what the heck. If anyone wants to buy me some for letting y'all in on this fabulous deal............I'll not hurt your feelings by refusing :)
18. Thank you fellas! Big big help. We did find it in the price guide and she is pleased. It was her late fathers and appears to have never been shot still in the box with all the paperwork. A really nice specimen :)
19. A friend has a S&W revolver NIB and is asking me to help her identify what year and value it has. I have gun digests book of guns and prices 2011 edition, however the closest I've come is a model 14 but doesnt show an 8.5" barrel option. The serial on the butt of the revolver is 75K20XX model 14-4. Anyone be of assistance? I'm not looking for a value from anyone, just more info so I can find it on my own.
20. Made an "in the blind offer" and he stated he would rather throw it in the garbage for that...............LOL..........so he got a "good luck with the sale" reply. Would still like to figure out what it is though. I am a curious sort.
21.
Hope you aren't paying more than $35 for it. Looks like some used it for a suppressed gun. Dolomite
LOL I haven't offered anything for it
22.
Some pics might help if there are any available...
