  1. I played with a few of your creations at D&T. Excellent! I probably won't ever buy one unless I win a lottery but your work is excellent!
  2. OK... Don't flame me here - I can't even believe I am saying it but my worst gun, ever, was a Browning Hi Power, 9mm. I bought it used when I was in the Navy in about 1985. I shot it and it was fine but a friend at the gun store showed me that it had been recalled for a safety probably... something was cracking (barrel I think). Anyway i had him send it off for. I ended up going on a deployment (6 months away). When I returned the gun still hadn't. I was due to transfer so ended up selling it to the guy who'd sold it to me (for a bit of a profit)! I turned aright around and bought a Browning A5 shotgun... now I REALLY wish I still had that gun!
  3. My friend read the article and showed it to me. It really was excellent!
  4. Wow Bill sweet! I dont have the box (cardboard and oil paper, as I recall). I still have my original bill of sale... gun show in Biloxi, Mississippi - 9\1988... $300 on the rim and out the door! OK, I'll try this: left | Flickr - Photo Sharing! front | Flickr - Photo Sharing! right | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Lets see if it will work.
  5. Warbird: Thanks a lot! I had figured that much out. I have a Flickr account but I still can't seem to make it happen. I have tried account sitting on Flickr and even switched my inter browser. Do you have to be a Benefactor maybe to post pix?
  6. It is a 686. Around 200 rounds fired. This is an early L frame, 686-2 Smith and Wesson, in excellent condition. It is an older model and does not have the hammer lock key system. You won't be able to find a 4" 686 in better condition. Trigger has been smoothed with a crisp 2.8 lb break, in single action. Perfect factory checkered Goncalo Alves grips. Red ramp front and adjustable rear sight, with white outline. I have made a few pics - just cant figure out how to get them posted! Dang computers!
  7. I'm all about making it, if I can. Wooo WOOOOOO no kids that weekend!
  8. Somehow I do not believe that was an oversight.
  9. Seems like a reasonable cost (and I'm sure you don't set it, just passing along). From what I've seen your work is excellent but I just prefer to buy black guns
  10. Yeahhhh that thought has cost me more than its saved me so far! Tell Mark I said thanks a lot! lol
  11. I voted that I dont care but then, thinking about it... I dont guess I have ever handled anything except factory wood or plastic) grips except a Pachmayr rubber one I had once. I guess I've led a sheltered life. DAMN I need to get our more!
  12. +1 Burgan: Have you given any thought to trying out a 1911 style? They have been popular for over 100 years for a reason. Just a thought. Have fun with this, dont make it a job!
  13. Ok, YOUR CRAZY! Umm why did you want us to call you that? Congrats on the Beretta, its a great gun!
  14. I have a S&W 686-2 4" (bought new in 1987) - the target edition (meaning its rear sight is adjustable). Its in excellent shape. I was just hoping that some of yall that know more about them than I do might help a fella out. Thanks!
  15. It was actually my dad's shotgun that he gave me. A model 97 Winchester, 12 gauge, modified to shoot skeet: opened up to I.C. (marked as modified choke), recoil pad to make it a little longer, riffled barrel, trigger work... probabily about 3 - 4 lbs. but I never checked it). My cousin got it when I joined the Navy... I REALLY need to find him and get it back!
  16. I just wanted to thank everyone who has or is currently serving.
  17. LOL! +1
  18. +1... I agree completely!
  19. Looks great KCC, as all of your work does!
  20. And I bought a Ruger P95 for a little less. The P95 is an AMERICAN made gun... not many manufacturers can say that! Ruger fixed a problem with mine and it was not under warranty (nor was I the original owner). I LOVE the feel of my P95... cant say I'm very accurate with it but that's my problem! lol Also to check going rates of different firearms and accessories I go to gunbroker.com (its like checking prices on Ebay).
  21. Your shipping charge comes with the trek! $4 a gallon for gas makes me happy every day that I sold my full-size pick-up!! lol (and FYI, Gun Troll, I would HAPPY pay it again!)
  22. Hey! The good news is that the grips didn't make me so dizzy this time! Musta been the cool grip screws ya got! And I'll tell you what - I have a Ruger P95 and Ruger fixed it for me, I am not the original owner nor was it even under warranty now. Ruger is a good company if you ask me! Damn I'm wanting one of these myself!
  23. Nice .45! Say it aint so about your poor Commander! If you want I would be happy to give it air and oil and a steady diet of 230 grain food ahh ammo I mean!
  24. Excellent! I got a 9L about a month ago, its a great gun! I added a couple of Apex Tactual parts to mine. Let me know if you have any questions about it and if I can help I will be happy to do so!
  25. Beautiful gun! I never have understood people who buy a gun to look at it and don't fire it... guess that's why I dont have any of them! lol
