When I lived in Virginia they have an open carry law, as long as your 21 years of age its legal ('cept for the typical places, banks etc...). Only time I ever did it was when I was building a house in the fall (in heavy woods) and time to time I'd go to some suppler or a convenience store. If anyone ever said anything about it it was to ask me how I liked it or tell me about theirs. Funny how guns CAN bring people together!

I just saw this on USA(!)carry.com. I think this underscores that while competitive shooting sports do not have anyone shooting back at you that you would certainly be more prepared than this. I must say - Greg is NOT talking out of his muzzle when he says this, it happened to me! To make matters worse the MD offered for me to use his gear... of course I didn't have any cash with me (HEY I was just going to observe, after all) and, mostly I didn't want to make a fool out of myself! I haven't been able to get to another match... Aw well, I will make it one of these days, and surly make a fool out of myself but ya gotta start somewhere, don't ya?!?
