Up for sale is a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in 30 WCF (30-30) made in 1911. It is close to, but not all completely original. This one was pretty rough when I started. When I work on an old rifle, I don’t want to make it “new”, just clean and functional. It’s not a collector’s piece, but it is now a really nice historic old shooter. The rifle has been completely disassembled, cleaned and put back together. There was little (if any) original bluing left on the metal. I did not try to make the metal look new, but I cleaned it up and gave it a vintage look with cold bluing. The original gum-wood stock was in pretty rough shape and had, at some point in the rifle’s 113-year life, been refinished and sanded a bit too much. The original gum-wood forend was also sanded and bit too much and is split at the front. I cleaned them up as best I could, but they were still just to ugly. I replaced them with a reproduction set from Gunville.com in American Black Walnut. After hand fitting the new furniture, it was finished with a hand rubbed oil finish. The original stock and forend will be included. The saddle ring is also not original to the rifle but I believe it is an old piece. It also now has the correct v-notched ladder rear carbine sight. $950, OBO. Located in Nashville. For sale/trade to persons who can legally own a firearm. Fully set up at 70lb with a 29" draw (both are adjustable) with a Bee Stinger 12" stabilizer, Black Gold 3-pin sight, Smackdown Limbdriver Fallaway rest, FUSE 4 arrow quiver & Tru-Fire wrist release. Comes with 13 Carbon Axis 5mm arrows, footed with aluminum (yes, they're all Gay Pink ) & as many broadheads as I have (without digging around, I think there's 6 G5 Montec 125gr) Strings & cables have tons of life left. I'd be surprised if I've shot this 100 times since I bought it. It's literally setup & ready to hunt. Just as the title says. 2 shot shell reloaded. 12 gauge is older, but works fine, 20 gauge is newer. They are parts compatible, so you could swap the 12 gauge components over to the newer one, if you wanted. The drum that the presses is sitting on is full of reloadable hulls, I believe all Remington STS, and I’ve got a couple boxes from clays also full of hulls. If you’re a high volume shooter I can include more drums of shells. I think all the others I have are Winchester AA hulls.
