Shed Hunting

Recommended Posts

Anybody here like to hunt for sheds? My daughter and I were watching a bachelor group of bucks last night. Two of them had already dropped one antler. There was a really nice 10 pt in the group. Wide and tall. I am going to be looking hard for his sheds.

Same here. We get out there and start feeding again and maybe coyote hunting and walk around a bit if there isn't much activity. It wasn't a shed but my brother found a dead buck with a nice rack. I boiled it out for him. Could have been a wounded deer that wandered on to our farm or he might have died of old age and exposure. His teeth looked pretty old.

I saw two 8 pointers walking in the fields by the Ag center off Edmonson this morning on my way to church. Might be worth a walk through those fields.

My son found a good 4 point shed the other day. I'd like to find the other side of that one. I have found several sheds through the years, mostly by accident while in the woods early in the year.
