how hard is it to bed the reciver on a 10/22

This is not difficult nor time consuming. What do you have in mind? What stock is it going into? the original or something newer?

origonal stock. any labor is fine. mowing. weedeating. painting. flooring. cleaning. chop wood. haul junk away. light mechanical work. just about anything. i also have some nice stereo equiptment if somebody wanted to bed it for me and maby some other things.

Have you tried a small strip of rubber near the front of the stock under the barrel? Many people have had better results doing that and adjusting the torque on the bolt that holds the receiver in the stock than they have with bedding the receiver.

IF you do your research.. the accuracy guys don't bed the action on a 10/22.. they freefloat the action and bed the barrel.
