My self and Fallguy have talked about a motorcycle trip to Gatlinburg the weekend of May 22, 2009 and would like to invite all interested. If you will PM me or respond to this thread I will get started on the planning as soon as we get enough interested. This can be an adult family trip (spouses, girlfriends) if you like and I will try to come up with a lodging plan when I can get a count. If you want to trailer up then by all means that is OK. I will ride up and will come from middle tn (Nashville area) and we could meet up and pick up some along the route. We can do the same for west tn and east tn areas with some help from guys in that area. All I ask is please be sincere and certain you will go b/c of the planning needed. If you don't have a bike and want to car up we will try to work that out too. But keep in mind the bikes may head out for the day and if you don't have one you may have to find something to do. Please let me know if you are interested asap. I will probably need to know before next Friday, May 8, in order to get it planned out. I will have to secure a place for all those committed and get lodging prices. Hope all can go and I look forward to hearing from you. I will need to know the following:

1) Are you going

2) How many in your party

3) Riding bike up, trailering, or driving a car

Thanks

I'd love to go...unfortunately, I don't own a motorcycle.

If you plan to stop in Cookeville, I'll be happy to join you for a meal or something.

Since we didn't think of it being memorial day weekend and in an effort to allow more to attend, the trip for May 22 has been canceled.

Anyone interested in a ride to the Gatlinburg area is urged to suggest a date/weekend(s) that is good for them.

If one date/weekend is good for a majority....we'll see if we can make it happen.

I say come on up and then you can join in on the Smokey Mountain Thunder Memorial ride. I have ridden in it the last five years, it starts at the Sevierville court house down town where they lay a wreath at the war memorial. We then ride to Clinch Mountain with escort the whole way for another gathering, and then break up and go our own way but most go to Colboch HD for grub and such. Last year we had around 1300 bikes and are going for 1500+ this year.:koolaid:

any make or model is welcome and all bikes as well. HA HA

P.S. the ride is on Sun. the 24th, it leaves the court house at 11am but if you want there will be a place open across the street for breakfast if you are early enough.
