Ahhh, back when Sig Sauer meant quality... I love the old P-229 in .40 S&W.

It's a surplus from some Police department. I got it off of one of those off-lease goverment surplus sites. It just oozes with old school German Sig energy with that metal frame. The action on this old girl is SO SMOOTH.

I like my 224, have both the .40 and .357 barrels

You can change over just by switching barrels?

You're preachin' to the choir here, buddy, I couldn't agree more.

My P-229 also came from police surplus and it looked like it had hardly been fired.  Must have belonged to a desk jockey....  It is flawless and has never had a misfire or problem.   I added the wooden grips just for some eye candy.

It's spends each night in my nightstand along with a Remington 870 12 gauge.   We share bedtime stories.........

Different recoil springs for 40 or 357 along with barrel swap

Not on the 224, can't speak to any other models.
