Anyone hunt Fort Campbell?

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to find a local place to hunt that may be decent but am thinking about getting on Ft. Campbell to hunt. i know there are a few hoops to jump through to be able to do it, but is it worth it? I do know that their deer season is open to shotguns and muzzleloaders throughout the state archery season and such. anything else i should be aware of?

Swing by the hunting and fishing unit and get a copy of the regs. Odds are, after you read them, you'll change your mind. They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the season. I used to hunt post, but it got too complicated. Can't scout anymore or anything. You just get the area they send you to. Good Luck.

gonna drop by tomorrow to pick up the regs. i will be on terminal leave through most of the season so it will be easy enough to have the days off

still working on the 600 acres i may be able to hunt on out in woodlawn. they are harvesting all the tobacco right now.

I use to hunt it about every other weekend. They changed some of there staff in the hunting and fishing office and for some reason it made it harder to get an area. I guess more troops back from Iraq and Af. could have made it harder to get in too. All I know is it isn't what it use to be about 5 years ago. The hunting is still good but getting an area is more difficult for civilians.
