New 9mm Range Report

Recommended Posts

I had been looking for a new handgun and had favored a couple of the more expensive models. After a lot of looking and research I kept the extra $600 and bought a new Bersa 9mm Ultra Compact Pro.

Gave it a good cleaning and headed off to the range this morning.

Pros: 100% right out of the box. I started off at 20 yards pulling head shots and put all 13 shots in the face. I shot 200 rounds without stopping to clean it. This included holding it upside down, sideways, limpwristing etc. and never had the first FTE or Jam.

It shot flawlessly.

I love it and I think it may be the best bang for the buck out there.

A couple hundred more rounds and I'll make it my full time carry weapon.

Cons: The trigger is very light in SA mode and it is a little too easy to double tap. I am sure I'll get use to it.

Bersa firearms are superb, and are also one of the best firearm values out there. I have a Thunder 40 Pro and I too have had nothing but flawless results! What was the street price for the 9mm UC Pro, if you don't mind my asking? I am thinking about another Bersa to add to the family....

Excellent choice! I purchased a Firestorm Ultra Compact Pro 9mm (made by Bersa--only real difference is that it has finger grooves) almost a year ago.

The Firestorm UC Pro performs better and is more accurate that every other 9mm I've compared it to so far. And, it was less expensive (new) than a couple used 9mm's I've compared it to. The Firestorm has already influenced me to sell a Ruger 9mm I had for many years.......I'm also thinking about selling a S&W 9mm because of my positive experiences with the Firestorm. :screwy:
