FNX-40 Range Report

Just took the new FNX-40 I bought on Sunday out to RangeUSA a little while ago.

I put 100 rounds through it and had ZERO malfunctions, jams, or problems. My first mag was sporadic and went low while I was getting used to the sights. Soon as I got used to them, my groupings were good. My range of shots were 15-30ft today, most being at 20-25ft.

It felt great to shoot and the recoil reducing low bore axis FN advertises was actually noticeable. I dumped one of my mags as fast as I could pull the trigger and had fantastic aim recovery. This is one of the best 40sw guns I've ever shot. :)

Ammo for today was Remington 180 grain UMC. (The mega 250 box from wally world)

Just to add, I've always been a rifle shooter only, never really got into pistols until earlier this year. I've shot a fair amount of handguns in the popular calibers, but I don't want anyone thinking my experience is a long history. Not the best shooter with handguns yet, but the FNX-40 performed very well compared to other guns I've shot.

For a $500 gun, this one did great. I think the prices will be going up on these in the near future.
