FNX-40 Range Report

Just took the new FNX-40 I bought on Sunday out to RangeUSA a little while ago.

I put 100 rounds through it and had ZERO malfunctions, jams, or problems. My first mag was sporadic and went low while I was getting used to the sights. Soon as I got used to them, my groupings were good. My range of shots were 15-30ft today, most being at 20-25ft.

It felt great to shoot and the recoil reducing low bore axis FN advertises was actually noticeable. I dumped one of my mags as fast as I could pull the trigger and had fantastic aim recovery. This is one of the best 40sw guns I've ever shot.

Ammo for today was Remington 180 grain UMC. (The mega 250 box from wally world)

Just to add, I've always been a rifle shooter only, never really got into pistols until earlier this year. I've shot a fair amount of handguns in the popular calibers, but I don't want anyone thinking my experience is a long history. Not the best shooter with handguns yet, but the FNX-40 performed very well compared to other guns I've shot.

For a $500 gun, this one did great. I think the prices will be going up on these in the near future.
