A little, but I still don't like the fact that Elephants were killed for just their tusks. Don't get me wrong, you want to hunt, you go right ahead, just eat what you kill and use as much of the carcass etc as you can. I don't believe in Trophy hunts.

I agree with you completely, I worked in Africa (Abidjan, The Ivory Coast) for 3 years on a rotation, and had several opportunities to bring Ivory back with me, and I never did, the good news is that in the last few years they have been cracking down on illegal pouching and the Elephants have a much better chance of survival now, having said that I do enjoy the Pre Ban grips for my 1911's, if you saw all of the Ivory that I have seen in those 3 years, you would be both amazed and disgusted,

I just dislike poaching and hunting for trophy only...

I have given up hunting since the chipmunks have vacated my house, lol. Never really was into hunting anyway.

Don't the game wardens(??) disable( drug) elephants to cut their tusks back so they will not be poached? Don't know for sure why i think that, maybe I am just way off in something I thought I knew.

All of my ivory grip shave come from elephants that fell over dead from natural causes. Followed one for 9 years waiting on him to drop!

I need to meet up with Willis at the range soon so I can give an unbiased opinion on all his sweet ass 1911's.
