Lost Garand Butt Extension

Hey, this is a long shot, and I wasn't sure where to even post it.

I bought the coolest black rubber butt pad / extension at the Hendersonville Gun Show yesterday morning. I'd never seen one before, but it was for slipping onto the butt of the Garand to add padding for firing grenades. Has "U.S." on it, as well as the "bomb" emblem you see on military guns.

Anyway, I paid $40.00 for it and stuck it in my back pocket. After browsing around two or three aisles, I noticed I'd dropped it. I could not find it anywhere and even had the show folks make an announcement to bring it to the concession stand if found. It did not show up.

No, I didn't lose a thousand-dollar Colt Python or anything, but it bugs me that it just disappeared like that. They are not that common apparently.

I'm posting this just in case somebody knows where it ended up and I can get it back. The vendor had a couple more, but I just could not bring myself to buy another one to add to my stupidity yesterday. :-) It's MY fault, of course, but it still had to have been picked up off the floor by somebody.

Anyway, it's a long shot, but I thought I'd post this in case anybody has it and figured they'd never be able to find the owner. I was looking forward to showing it off in our next Garand video. I'm always slipping on butt pads to add length-of-pull; at least this would have been original to the Garand, for a change, and not something I picked up at Cabelas. :-)

Thanks,

Hickok45
