2011 Year in Review. 2011 has been a great year for me. I have learned a lot, found a lot of opportunities and fuloy taken advantage of them to my best ability.

I have to say this has been one of the best years in my life! I'm gonna do all I can to make 2012 an even better year!!!

Why was 2011 so good?

1. Learned more about who I was, what kind of person I am and want to be.

2. Worked for 2 semesters as a photographer for the school paper.

3. Found some passion in football and sideline photography

4. Got the highest gpa at school I have ever obtained (3.5)

5. Got to go to Knoxville and shoot an SEC game from the sideline, go to the media room, sit in on post game press conference.

6. Got to go on my first official elongated storm chase for 2 1/2 weeks.

7. Got to meet all the US thunderbird pilots and country music singer Julie Roberts, who got a celebrity flight and I got close up photos of all the planes and got to photograph the airshow from the media box area.

8. got my first paid photo gig on Music Row in February.

9. Got a job with a local newspaper shooting photography.

10. Interviewed with NFL Films for an internship.

11. Interviewed with the Atlanta Faocons for an internship.

12. Saw my first tornado ever!

13. Got a new Canon XF300 Video Camera

14. I got to hear Herman Cain speak at MTSU.

15. I recently got to meet a guy who as a law enforcement officer arrested John Hinckley Jr (the man who shot Ronal Reagan) in Nashville on a weapons charge while trying to biard an airplane with 3 firearms. I got to hear the story and it was cool.

16. Met some great people and made a lot of new friends and contacts to further my career and people who have offered to help out.

17. Learned (and am still learning) that life is what you make of it, and that if you have a positive outlook and work hard in your personal life, your professional life and your education, that good things will happen and you will become a better person for everything you endure and in all that you accomplish.

May you all have a blessed 2012 and I hope everyone has some good luck and is prosperous next year!

Anyone else have a good year? Or something memorable to share? Good, bad or indifferent? It can be about.yourself, or events in the country or world, etc. Just a topic for reflection really.
